Transfers January 2023 Transfer Thread. The Big One

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

To be honest, what's even the point of signing players in January when:

1/ our DOF is burned (even though he's only suspended in Italy)

2/ his little HC pal is on his way out (and obviously none of it is his fault)

Getting players in now for them to be out of favour when the new man enters the building in X weeks/months feels a bit pointless.

And let's be brutally frank, unless we signed 3 or even 4 absolutely world class lads who get to express their talent free of AC's shackles, we ain't getting CL football next year.

Woolwich & City are guaranteed top 4. Newcastle & United look a pretty sure thing. And even if one or both of the latter were to crumble, Chelsea or Liverpool (if they wake the eff up) would pip us to the post. Finishing 5th would be overachieving already considering how inept our players & staff are. But I reckon we'll end the season between P6 and P9, which is our level.

The one I feel the most for is Harry. The lad is a generational talent, unbelievable player, great bloke too...but 30 already and not won zilch at club level...and no way it's about to change at Spurs. It'd break my heart to see him leave, especially for another PL team (fuck you United), so I hope he gets a move to Bayern where he can bang in goals for fun in the Bundesliga and CL...and win titles for 3 or 4 years. Then he can retire a Spurs.

If players can only work in one system or they will only play for one manager then they are not that good to begin with.
