Zaniolo or Trossard?

Zaniolo for age and better youtube mix
Zaniolo over Trossard. He could be an injury prone disaster or he might end up being great. Trossard just another average prem player who will be ok ish. We need more than that. Preferably neither though. Proper first team Son replacement should be the priority, but that could take serious money, so here we go again.

Zaniolo was super hyped before his injury, so could turn out to be another Kulu if we're lucky. But can see why we'd go for the loan rather than the purchase as he could also be Dele Ali Done.

not mad at Levy for this one

This transfer window is going brilliantly so far, wouldn't you say?
About what I expected tbh. After a while you learn ENICs patterns.

I didn't think we would sign anyone and if we do it will be taking a punt on somebody's else's squad player in the hope they come good on a loan to buy type scenario. It worked with Kulu and Bentancur so Levy will be looking to do something like that again, if we even do anything at all that is.

Conte done very little in my opinion to warrant further money being spent towards his preferred choices, much as he seems to curry favour from a few posters.

My real concern is that whichever manager replaces him will also need some players of quality, and who may be able to get more out of them than Conte could, so I hope we don't cut off our nose to spite our face.

We are lacking but no way as much as cry baby Conte makes out.

Surely this comes down to Levy...

Firstly, why hire a short term manager.

Secondly, why hire a manager who you damn well know will requite a transfer budget you'll never be prepared to fund.

The whole situation stinks.

There is two options for the club to be successful on the pitch from this point.

1 back Conte with 300-400m and get him the elite players he needs.

2 get a ‘’project manager’’ and start getting good young players to build a high press attacking system. This is obviously the cheaper option, works but takes time and requires a clear thought out plan from the board. This will mean selling Kane/Son and most players 28 or over.

There's a third and, arguably, better option: a change of ownership.

People may think he's average, but he's a lot better than the depth we currently have.

He's a better signing for them than us. They need depth for a last push for title run before their traditional collapse. They have Europa Thurs/Sun to deal with so Trossard can play Thurs when they have a big game in the Prem.

We need to stop stacking players we can't shift and get a long-term replacement for Son.

1 is not an option.
