Yep.

I've been thinking of it in terms of elements.

Since Son, Biss and Sarr are out, we're missing three particles (one positive (attack) and two negatively charged, defence), making us an unstable isotope looking for new partners to provide stable chemistry. Some samples are being tested:

Gallagher is like oxygen. Boring, but everyone needs someone like him to get shit done. He's highly reactive as he has a lot of bonding opportunity, but since he's a servant to all, his loyalty is suspect.

Dragusin is like silver. It might not be the most shiny of new toys, but it's got class and cleans up a lot of unpleasant shit before it turns bad. Hopefully he also won't mind being left in the cupboard 'for best'.

We're also missing a positively-charged proton, thanks to a high-energy collision with January.

Werner is like sodium; popping and fizzing without much control. Fuck it, chuck him in there and grab the popcorn Sure, it might not last, but at least it will be fun!

Dier was a neutron. So, yeah, we're good.
Thanks Sheldon.

Bissouma is world class at his best , but is inconsistent and rash at times. Needs to work hard on that and he can be incredible for us. Madders and Bentancur have a good shout for being in a Prem XI alongside De Bruyne.
I don't disagree that Bissouma, at his best, is top quality - but to be deemed world class a player has to be consistent. Even Ndombele was world class at his best.
van de Ven is not world, of course, but if he keeps on playing as he did early in the season he can and will be qualified as "world class" (a term which is a bit subject, though).

Prem 11 is getting interesting

Madders will always struggle because of KDB in the same position. Bentancur absolutely has a shout as the B2B 8, Rodri the 6.

Romero is Prem 11, Udogie is Prem 11, Son is Prem 11. Porro getting there but TAA would still get the most votes.

If we are saying that we have 4 in the Prem 11 that's still not bad going for now.
This season several "experts" reckon that Vicario has been the best goalie in the EPL
