Transfers January Transfer Thread 2024

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Would they want to take his salary on when he can’t play.

Seems like this means he’s staying here till the summer to get the best conditions to recover

Up to Split, I think they want to ensure he signs for them. I'm sure we end up by paying 100% of his salary until January and the excess over the wages in he contract he signs for Split in January anyway.

If they want anymore salary than that paid, Spurs don't release him to sign for Split in January so they risk losing him.

They're not going to sign a player out with an ACL.

He's not going to be agitating for a move man, he's out with an ACL until next season.

In which case he is not playing for Croatia next summer ..... and I do yhink he wants that. Which is why he wants to rejoin Split ..... and Split want him as he is fit enough to play in that league for 3 - 4 years more.

So do they think long term or short term. If shirt term you may be correct. If long term I may be correct

Injury aside; being a starter for 5 months in a C-grade league vs making regular decidive sub appearances in the EPL is hardly gonna sway the Croatia manager as to whether he includes Perisic in their Euro squad or not.... In fact the latter would still be MORE appealing in my eyes as he'd be relatively fresh AND in form. win/win

The only thing that prevents him from moving to Split at some point is a failure to recover.

Yes.

Several credible links from Croatia - one concerning Mrs Perisic and kids nursery in Split and one concerning the much rumoured transfer of a 'world class' young CB from Split to Spurs.

By links I mean a half decent journo saying "Perisic is leaving Spurs in Jan" not secondary detective work..... If so, please post one.
