Having thought a bit more about it, does Phillips' exit mean much?

He never got a single minute at the height of our CB crisis. Chances are we will not be in that position again.

Emerson and Davies are probably now considered able deputies. Romero + VDV available again soon. Dier still technically on the books.

Letting Phillips go doesn't mean we are closer to a CB signing.

You obviously haven't seen many of my posts.

I'm one of the least "Levy-obsessed" people here.

You need more help because you seem to have no sense of humour.

Our prospects clearly aren't ready since we just loaned one out. You'd think you could work that out for yourself.

I asked the question before that happened, mate.

Please don't respond to my posts anymore with your hilarious inputs.

You make Doom Funk Doom Funk sound like Ricky Gervais.

The process !

Not sure why Werner (and agent) didn't travel over the weekend so as to do somethings today - but often these things come down to people's personal commitments (eg to family)
There was talk he ‘flew back to Germany’ today so I dunno were they away on some training camp or something, though I guess he could have flown directly to London.

Edit -Leipzig (and Werner) were in Spain on a training camp so he flew back to Germany with the team this morning

Letting him go when Davies is now injured along with Romero tells us we have someone ready to come in. Micky might break down again and we won’t see Dier in a Tottenham shirt again.

Doesn't mean shit.

Phillips wouldn't play even of VDV couldn't against UTD.

If Dier goes, then that is different.

Not from what I’ve heard👍👍

However Levy might see it as a bit of an opportunity to get Kelly in👍👍
Long-term as in the bigger picture...

Not like do it because he tweaked his hamstring on Friday.

:davieshmm:

Davies is 31 in April; has been here ten years and is now our longest-serving player. We need someone that can replace him for the future. Kelly, LB/LCB ticks that box. Plus he's HG.

Davies thought to be injured, Dier thought to be on his way to Bayern 'in due course'

so v ManU its Van de Ven (just back from injury - will he last full 90 mins) plus Royal with possibly Dier and 18 year old Dorrington on bench.

So its not imperative to have a new CB in, but it leaves us 'tight'
