Transfers January Transfer Thread 2024

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I think you have an understanding problem. I Love the Football Club. I don't care much of the other Part. You seem to be the other way. Seems Levy's finances is more important to you.

Get it in you Fat Head.

Unless you on Levy's payroll, he is the only benefitting from Go Carts, NFL, Concerts. Because we have put equal effort into the Football squad. That is all that belongs to the fans.

You the type of person that goes to a restaurant and raves because they had the nicest decor and the plates were Gold Rimmed. I don't give a Damn about the plates and Decor if the Food is average or tastes like shit.

I care about the FC. Hence I want the improvement and investment it deserves.
I think you're missing the overall point with their non-football activities.
Title winners in England generally feature in the top 3 for wage bill spending.

That's the less spoken about other half to the 'transfer spending' discussion. Pay the big wages and attract the big stars, win silverware.

Where we are now and where we were when ENIC became owners is night and day.

In the ten seasons preceding their takeover under Sugar's ownership we averaged a 10.8 table position, or 11th essentially. That also included UCL/UEFA participation once, and that wasn't via league finish.

Under ENIC we have finished in that '11th' or below 3 times (from 24 seasons) and none since 2008. With UEFA/UCL participation in 15 of the last 17 seasons.

And yes none of that is a trophy, but it is steady and solid progress. As is developing the training facilities, and massively upgrading WHL into our magnificent stadium.

To wind back to the top to the overall point, all that is aimed at helping put Tottenham Hotspur into a position where our financial capabilities match and even outstretch our contemporaries.

That is a gap we are closing, and non-football ventures that you mock like NFL, Concerts etc are a pivotal revenue stream that is needed to achieve the end goal. Think otherwise that's fine, but without it we'd slowly drift back to the pack with the Everton and West Ham clubs of the world.

You must crawl before you can walk, unless you're Manchester City and enter a cheatcode instead.

Great news. Real are the only club with the money and pull to come for Destiny and they are about to drop a bollock on a left back.

While being the most successful and richest – and may “best” run - club in Europe they’re also the most self-entitled and cynical club and see themselves above the law

They’ve gotten both Alaba and Rüdiger on a free and this coming summer they'll most probably get Mbappé on a free this summer. They are very good at “turning” the heads of agents & players they want and are experts in getting players they want by using any sorts of “manipulations” behind the scene. Of course, I am not denying that their success story is a major part of the attraction - but not the only one...

I really hope that the Super League they have been pushing becomes a total failure!

Might give Bayern the ammunition to make an approach though, and I wouldn't rule out Man City. They have no natural LB, and he suits a Pep system so much.

With Brighton signing Barco (FM wonderkid) then I imagine a few teams will look at Estupinian.
An approach for Udogie? I can just see how that goes...

VM: " Here Levy, about your LB Udogie ..."

Click

BM: "Hello? Are you still there?"

Looks like its getting done, I didn't even know who he fucking was 2 weeks ago. Oh well, hopefully he'll do alright.

Surely he must be world class since people were complaining that we didn't just pay the fucking money. So I'm trusting the TFC scouting department and negotiation team on this one.

I know Eric Dier has his short-comings... but he's been a great servant for the club, never complained to the press and Angelos is talking highly about him (as a person).
I really can't understand why some people have this strong need to repeatedly, day after day, express their disdain for him. It's as if there is a competition among some people about who's able to express their dislike for him the most and the strongest - and in the process thinks that makes them a "better" Spurs fan...
