Really impressed with Ange how hes transformed club. Said before paratici has been magnificent for us and knows exactly the type of player we want. Bentacur, van der ven, udogie...rolls royce players and class. For me vicario is slightly ahead as player of year. I liked mitchell at Tottenham as scout but paratici has raised the bar. Brilliant.

I don’t if it’s his scouting or simply his ability to get deals done. I mean we have scouts who probably would have been aware of Udogie, Sarr was a big youth name etc but with Paratici young players that are linked to Real, Juventus, Barca we seem to be able to buy now where as before it seemed a pipe dream.

Dragusin is one of the top performing CB’s in Italy and is it appears we are beating Bayern for his signature. Ange as the coach and Paratici as the get deals done guy just seems great.

Sorry is not in the vocabulary of TFC.

You’ll have to make do with ‘Cunt’.
Indeed, it's weird isn't it? At work I'm sure I make many mistakes every week, everyone does in every job, and if any of those mistakes impact someone else I always say "Sorry that was my mistake", yet hardly anyone else admits theirs. It's as if people think it shows weakness to admit a mistake or to apologise for not explaining something properly etc, but for me it shows strength and confidence, and I'm always admiring of any of my staff who will hold their hands up to me or to the whole wider team and own something they've not got quite right.

I would say that maybe it's a macho football thing, but tbh most forums on all topics are the same, no one ever wants to admit they're wrong, no one even wants to admit that someone else has a view on something that is different to their own but nevertheless valid. Sign of the insecurity of the modern human being I guess. :/ :)

Anyway have we signed this Dragusin geezer yet or what? 😂 On that front, personally I will be neither cheering nor crying until something is actually confirmed either way - the depression / jubilation on here after every rumour is bemusing to me... :)

I’d probably only go over there for the two years if I were single. Taking a family would be hard work but on your own to make all that money. It has to be attractive. I remember back to the late noughties when loads of people went over to work in dubai for the tax breaks and it’s no different. If anything it’s an easy life as a footballer.
I turned it down and went to Qatar instead.

Saudi Arabia is an awful place.

I don't think so.
He may go to Croatia where the transfer window does not close until mid Feb giving him some extra weeks for his injury to heal.
If he stays at Spurs he won't get any game time and he wants to go to the Euros.
He is not going to walk away from a reported 180k a week. There will be some negotiation but he won’t walk for nothing, would you.

Tbh he knows italian market inside out and has stole a march. Hate to say it but wenger was like that with french market. Paratici has been superb. Had doubts but high percentage his scouting is top class. Have to tip hat to levy for that.

They pick some pictures for these players.
Poor Djed looks either stoned, totally gormless or a combination of both.
Hopefully he can light his career there rather than whatever he lit just before that photo was taken.

I think I have a cunning solution!

Shave his head.

Bob Marley had dreads and weed -> too shit to play for us.
Dele Alli had dreads and NO2 -> too shit to play for us.
Djed Spence has dreads and [unknown] -> too shit to play for us.

Since we cannot know anything about the consumption of [unknown], then we are left only to assume its his hair that is causing his shitness. I don't blame him, it would annoy the shit out of me to have to run about while a bead curtain is slapping me in the face at every turn. I mean, who wants to throw their head at a ball when you know it's going to sting like a motherfucker? Must be like snogging Medusa.

Honestly, on some level, it's got to put you off things like:
  • Checking over your shoulder.
  • Sharp turns at the end of a shuttle run.
  • Nodding one in from a corner.
  • Agreeing/Disagreeing vehemently
We should include a 'No stupid haircuts, you're a professional' clause in all new contracts.

Hmm.. I'm thinking of working up a piece on Dragusin.

Yep, I am starting to think "this will be it".

No one is willing to pay for neither of PEH (Juve reported "out"; no other realistic rumors to be heard so far) or Lo Celso (both 18 months on the contract) and if neither leaves, there is no real room to bring in a new player. We then have Bentancur, Bissouma, Sarr, Maddison, PEH, Lo Celso and Skippy as our MF options which is actually significant depth if everyone remain fit.

As I said in one previous post- within 2,5 seasons so far we have brought full first XI with exception of Sonny.

That is - Vicario; Porro, Romero, VdV, Udogie; Bentancur, Sarr, Maddison; Kulusevski, Richie, Son.
And on top of that some very good squad options (some starters/subs is up for debate - specially between midfield duo and attacking options) - Forster, Royal, Dragusin, Bissouma, Solomon, Johnson, Werner, Veliz

In total 19 players (!)

Now we have some room to think about future of some players like Skippy, Sessegnon, Lo Celso, PEH and Gil
But more importantly move on some - Tanguy, Dier, Regulion, Spence, Rodon, Tanganga.

In summer we need most likely one more adequate fullback, one quality midfielder and potentially quality striker/#9 + potentially 4th CB (even though I am not fully sure of it - VdV and Romero are brilliant, if Dragusin works out and we have Davies as #4 with youngsters like Philips, Dorrington and Vuskovic coming on...?) .
Keep some from "questionmark" list, keep all 19 mentioned above them and we are absolutely ROCKING.
I think we will have to do what Woolwich did after Arteta arrived. He wanted the old guard out so they paid off the contracts of Ozil, Aubameyang, Sokratis, Mustafi, the big Serb who looked like a bouncer , can’t remember his name. Either that or take some very low fees for Reggie, Tanguy etc.
They need to go and European clubs cannot afford them Champ lge qualification will help , especially as the money us going up quite a bit next season.

Our payments to agents will be interesting. Have a look at Liverpools….agents can push players one way or the other.
Not saying Fab is dodgy………as if.
