He was signed for a different coach. The new one isn’t playing in a way that suits him.
They also signed about 20 forwards then Barcola came through and was better than the ones they signed
They signed Barcola from Lyon

I do think we can raise £75M at least by selling Biss, Betancur, and Richarlison. If we sell Son to the K-League or MLS maybe it becomes £100M.
Frankfurt are also very good at making forwards/strikers look really good.I’ve only watched him actually live once. When we beat Frankfurt in the champions league at home under Conte and absolutely nothing stood out about him for me. I remember there being quite a bit of noise about him so kept an eye on him and he didn’t trouble us that night.
Another highlights player with good marketing is what I suspect but I haven’t watched him enough. Live though, I wasn’t impressed, not enough to spend what psg did on him anyway.

I was very impressed by Damsgaard in the recent games I saw.
TBF, this is a terrible way to judge a player for a transfer. You've watched him play 73 minutes in a mid-week game away against a superior team, and decided he's just a "highlights player with good marketing".I’ve only watched him actually live once. Maybe they are just good at identifying what strengths are needed in their system and finding a striker who suits those traits. Then you have some bozo club who sees him scoring goals and they buy him for a totally different style and system.Frankfurt are also very good at making forwards/strikers look really good.
Luka Jovic was a god damn monster at Frankfurt, but flopped hard at Madrid. And has only in the past few seasons found new life as a 6-10 goal a season back up striker in Serie A.
Either that, or they are incredible at scouting coaches that can make strikers into monsters. Hütter did it with the Jovic, Rebic and Haller trio. Glasner with Kamada, Kolo Muani and Borre/Lindstrom/Alario trio. Edit: Or right now for that matter with Marmoush, Ekitiké and Knauff under Toppmöller.
Shit didn’t know

I'm not overly excited about signing him, but I'm not going to decide he's no good based on 73 minutes.
The frustrating thing is it’s a one time cost. We aren’t on life support like Chelsea under Roman where they lost 100M every season…. We need a boost, and then we can become self sufficientI do think we can raise £75M at least by selling Biss, Betancur, and Richarlison. If we sell Son to the K-League or MLS maybe it becomes £100M.
£200M is about 2 years' spending at our recent levels, though. So, yeah, it would be a big push for us. Definitely needed though.
Do you mean K-League? Their transfer record is like £5m.I do think we can raise £75M at least by selling Biss, Betancur, and Richarlison. If we sell Son to the K-League or MLS maybe it becomes £100M.

Totally agree with Ange on this tbf, despite what a number of fans clamour for, injuries is not a reason to go out and buy a bunch of players just for the sake of it.
Our squad is full, any signing needs to be made because we view them as better than those already in the squad, we can't just sign players in order to cover injuries or else come final squad registration we'll have to either leave out the injured who won't then be available once fit, or have no room to register the new players.
I don’t think we’ll even get half of that.I do think we can raise £75M at least by selling Biss, Betancur, and Richarlison. If we sell Son to the K-League or MLS maybe it becomes £100M.

I get what Ange is kinda saying regarding injured players coming back but that's why signing Tomori would make sense.
Also just go and get Mitoma..... He is the only elite dribbler winger that we could actually get.
Williams, Vini jr, Barcola, musiala, wirtz... We can't get but Mitoma we should be able to.
