If we have a buy option, then the parent club DOES have an obligation to sell to us at the pre-agreed price (other conditional clauses not withstanding), that's the whole point of the 'buy option' clause. It is but the point he was making (incorrectly) was that it's up to the parent club as well, as if they can recall him once the initlal loan period is up which they can't do.
