Manager Jose Mourinho

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

"Back to you claimed this, I claimed that" bullshit. Fuck me all this on the back of me thinking Jose got it wrong in the first half yesterday and that he shouldn't have played Eriksen!

See ya.
You’ve been outed.....you’ve got fuck all left in the tank and it’s obvious.
No answers.

Of course he got it wrong. He trusted two of the shittest players in the PL, on the basis that they might be able to play well enough for 90 minutes to pass the ball to their team mates.

He got it wrong. He was let down by the inept incompetence of two players who used to be good.
I have no problem admitting that.

Let’s see if Dele and Eriksen are STILL in the team after he’s spent 450M though shall we.......

Nope, I read exactly what was posted. Impossible to wrongly 'interpret' it.

Oh and about identity, I've answered the stupid question. Perhaps you haven't the ability to interpret what I said? :sneaky:

It's clear to everyone you have no time for Mourinho, you stupidly say he is past it without ANYTHING to back that up apart from some obscure youtube video. I'll leave you to it...
You said we had an identity against Liverpool. I asked what is it? You haven't answered this, if you have then I apologise, I've net seen the post where you have. So if you could link it that would be good of you. If you haven't then could you explain what our identity is?

Mate, I've posted absolutely loads and loads of stuff about my reasoning behind why I think Jose is past it. If you are genuinely interested (I don't think you are) to know what I've said then it's all here in this thread, go and ask Incomplete_usernam Incomplete_usernam where we debated it for pages. There is no point in posting again as it's just repeating what has already been posted numerous times now.

But if you want a better more coherent understanding than I've been able to communicate then go listen to the Tifo podcast I posted on above. If you do not know of the Journalist or who Tifo is then that speaks to your own ignorance, not mine.

The only thing he got wrong yesterday was playing Eriksen. I have my own issues with Dele, but expect him to play.

Other than that, not sure what else we could have tried. Sess for Rose?

If Jose plays Eriksen again then it’s on the manager.
He absolutely has a headache with the absence of a Sissoko and more importantly Ndombele, but to me, this only emphasises the error not to select Lo Celso from the beginning. As I've already claimed I no very little of Lo Celso other than what I've read and seen from the mins he's got so far. But even those few minutes highlight that he's a far more energetic, tenacious player without the ball than Eriksen. So if your plan was not to have the ball why not play him (I also understand why Lamela would be used as a sub as he's only just regained to full training)?

If we, as we have been many times, go a goal down and need to changes things on the pitch to create more then Eriksen can be brought on. But his plan was to play a low block and concede possession. It absolutely makes no sense whatsoever (this is all without the overriding view that he's almost certainly leaving Tottenham and is completely out of form too).

In football, a great player needs to be aggressive and take his chances. Passive players that fear mistakes can never be great.

This is why I rate GLC, Lamela, Son, and Dele (I love his flicks).

Then you're being wilfully blind.

The improvements are perfectly tangible. I've already pointed them out to you.

I don't know what that last part means.

....I was Poch In too, but if you can be patient during a steady and constant decline over the first part of this season (with the same probs as you cite with Jose.... or worse).... A decline that others may argue was going on for as long as a year; it doesn't add up that you're being so impatient and terminally critical over JM after such a short period of time.

...Unless of course, you are being purely biased in which case; meh.

This might suit the JM thread better

Not trying to be rude but I don't seem to recall what these improvements might be. Unless you are still on about our jump in the table, which I'm not getting carried away about, cos there would always be an immediate change of dynamic when changing manager. That bounce seems to have gone.

So the only thing I'm seeing from Mourinho is stubbornness about player selection, which Poch got the stick for. A boring defensive tactical approach which seems to make our players lazy, and we always concede the first goal. Then he has to change away from his tactics and switch to a more attacking/pressing style of play. These are the only times we've been playing alright, when Mourinho's tactics are gone down the drain.

So with Tanganga and Davinson in the defensive line, wouldn't it be great fun to see us moving to the middle of the park instead of just standing in own box trying to fend of the opposition?

I actually thought Lucas put up a great fight with the Dippers defenders, but what was he suposed to do on his own? That first half was AGAIN set up to fail.

Yes, I'm biased towards my opinion of Mourinho, but I still feel capable of resetting every time we start a new game. That said, I've actually never felt, like I did throughout the last week. It's the first time where hope wouldn't even give me the belief of a victory. Very upsetting

No-one's asking you to get carried away (I'm not either).

Just urging you to put your bias aside; be patient and accept that, despite your protestations, we are measurably in a better position.

I'll agree on one thing. Only time will tell where this Mourinho adventure will end.

Yet, despite this sentiment, you've made your mind up already..... My head hurts! lol

Until then, I'll be shitting myself, scared to death about who'll be axed and who'll be brought in
[/QUOTE]

Who do you fear getting axed that you think should stay then?

I'm guessing GLC.... Thing is; if he struggles to break in after a year and 2 different managers and we have the option not to buy him, isn't that what such loan deals are all about?

Anyone else?

Absolutely GLC. It's clear to everyone, except our manager, that he changes the game (if you don't believe me, go read a match thread).

I'm concerned about Foyth, Sessegnon, Winks, Skipp, Clarke, Parrott and Tanganga. Just on top of my head, don't know if I forgot any. I don't think any of these players have reached their full potential, so I wouldn't be to happy offloading them too soon. Loans would be fine
