Tonight Trippier became a man. He's been outstanding for a season and a half already, but tonight he showed everyone exactly why he is an England international.

A clever, reliable talented footballer. Reads the game, and commands his part of the pitch with confidence.

Did himself proud tonight, and I for one am happy to watch him grow into his role with us over the coming years.

Upgrade my fucking arse.

Well done son
And there is people complaining about us buying players from relegated sides :levylol:

Yeah. This was Kieran's break out performance on the international stage.

Top stuff today

Proud of Kieran tonight...

I've been one of the less convinced among us in the past so credit where it's due. Even though the oppo were gash, for me he was one of few that showed consistent quality in their respective position tonight and as others have noted if not for HK he'd have been MOTM. I hope once the dust settles he'll enjoy the irony that it was 'the £50m man' whom in fact put our result (which otherwise would have been a dead cert) in jeopardy tonight.

Obv. Harry is GOD, but Dele was looking good til the twinge became apparent mid 1st half too.

Dem Yido's reprazentin', innit bruv!:pochohshit:

Burning question...can we keep him?
:kanehand:

Isn't the real question 'will Levy cash in on him and indirectly siphon the cash into his personal account'?

Quietened a lot of his critics tonight.
6 chances created? That is world class level. It’s only one game & against Tunisia, granted, but it’s hugely impressive. He looked good every time he was on the ball & put in some excellent deliveries. A couple more performances like that and you can bet the rumour mill will start grinding through it’s gears about us being able to hold onto him amid interest from these “big clubs”, how we need to match his ambition by winning things, how he wants to go back up north to be near his family, how we don’t pay him what he’s worth (etc etc)

No doubt.

Opponents maybe never heard of him hence didn't see that coming. Even Real Madrid made that mistake. Teams better prepared will close him down. Tougher tests ahead..

He looks good when he is playing on the right of a defensive 5, with 3 centre halves where he has an extra helping pair of legs on his flank. He doesn’t have the athleticism of Walker (very few do) but his distribution can be scintillating when he brings his A game to the party.
