Tbf, he's been good for us for at least 12 months.
he's been solid sure. but he's putting in motm type performances every game.

hate to overreact to WC performances but I wouldve been more than ok in selling him this summer, but i'm definitely second guessing that thought.

Let's be honest here, he's yet another player who hardly anybody rated that's been turned into a fucking superstar by Pochettino. Another great advert for any player thinking about joining Spurs...

Talked too much. Said last night that just practiced putting the penalty in the same place. no point in changing. Now if he gets another penalty shoot out will have GK going that way. He either needs to practice shooting elsewhere or the shot will have to be so good that the GK still cannot save it. Should have kept his mouth shut. We do not know what the others have been practicing which is better.

Ridiculous to think that Poch picked him up from Burnley for - wait for it - £3.5m.

Seems a model pro; he'll follow instructions to the letter. Glad to see him take a free kick last night. Struck it well. Like his corners too.

Now, if he could just run as fast as Walker...

Any one else thinking that we should go with 3 CD allowing Tripps to play as he has for England.
Depending on the Toby/replacement situation obvs.

He certainly works much better in a 3 back formation, however we have a lot of good attacking options so it limits us a bit, unless we drop Dele next to Dier/Wanyama to accomodate. Would like to see us bedding in Foyth a bit more this season though.

But what if he was bluffing?

Testament to hard work and working on skills to make up for lack of genetic gifts. Proud of him.

Since City away he's been much better in 1v1s defensively too. Maybe the best thing to happen to him.

It's interesting seeing him slightly higher up the pitch. Poch will be watching all these games... He might decide so tweak things based on his performances at the WC.

It can only be a good thing, he seems to keep his head down and has waited for his chance - lot to be said for that.

I expect Poch to have a notebook about as thick as a dictionary at this point with notes of how all the players have done at the cup and what can be done for next season

This is from a Guardian article...
"England’s penalty takers began their rehearsals before the friendlies against the Netherlands and Italy in March and will continue to do the same in every practice session for as long as they are in this tournament. Often that routine means telling the goalkeeper where they are aiming their shot, the idea being that the only way to score would be to produce what Marcus Rashford described as “the perfect penalty”."
