Striker Kion Etete joined us from Notts County in the summer of 2019.

Derby-born Kion attended the Chellaston Academy before he made his professional debut for the Magpies at the age of 16, coming on as a substitute on 76 minutes in an EFL Trophy clash with Newcastle United’s Under-23s in October, 2018.

The forward went on to play four games in League Two for the East Midlands outfit during 2018/19, as well as making a late cameo appearance in an FA Cup tie with Barnsley.

The young striker has been scoring on a regular basis for the youth outfit, but for one reason or another, he’s escaped the attention of the mainstream press and even Spurs fans.

Perhaps it’s because Dane Scarlett and Troy Parrott are seen as the perennial heirs to Harry Kane’s throne as Tottenham’s number nine, but it’s fair to say that Etete is quietly flying under the radar.

Standing at 6 ft 5, Etete is a physically imposing forward, and he certainly has an eye for goal, netting seven times in 16 PL2 appearances this season, including four in his last six games.

Spurs fans on social media are finally noticing his purple patch, and a section of the fanbase have been giving him a lot of credit.

What's the name of the lad with the 'difficult' name that we were rumoured to want to swap him with.....?
