Ex-Spurs Player Kyle Walker

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I’ve got no real problem with how Walker left, or his reasons. He wanted a big pay day and a league title. He might have got oa title wth us (hopefully soon!)

Gutted he went to city of course, but then the club sanctioned that and agreed to the sale to a rival.

Obviously I don’t want him to do well while he is there, that directly impacts us

I reckon Walker is a cunt! :wansum:

50:50 on this.

Cannot stand Guardiola and hate what City and co are creating. Honestly and sadly indicative of society. Too much power and influence in few hands.

Conversely there is a real world that goes beyond the rather inexplicable fan that loves his club in a fashion that even friends and partners find hard to grasp.

Walker gave us good service but at times was much maligned before we forget it. I suppose he must look out for number one and City, aided by the toothless but power-obsessed Premier league and UEFA make departure much more likely for top players on wages that are in the median scale.

So, hope Walker is on the winning side but that he pulls his hamstring and is out for the season and that at a later stage City are found to have flouted the rules and then get stripped off the trophy, so that Woolwich don't stain my vision by lifting another cup under Wenger, even if they get awarded it by default.

By the way I think Woolwich will win. FFS.

He’s paid by the Sheik Mansour Company, so is absolutely minted. There’s no obvious benefit for even mentioning us.

I believe he said that because he means it. If anything the Sheik Mansour Company would be unimpressed by him talking positively about a rival team. He spent years at the club trying his best, and was offered a massive pay rise.

People are being harsh on the bloke. He’s goading Woolwich and emphasising his Spurs connections. Good on him, and fuck both teams.

Walker's post-match comments yesterday:

It's been a long time coming for me and I'm glad to get my first trophy. I was nervous coming into it, without a trophy win here before, but thankfully we've come out on top today. We didn't have the best of seasons last year, so it was important for us to get this trophy under our belts.

Actually, Kyle, you had a great season last year, finishing 2nd in the league, 8pts clear of your current team. :avbfu:

It'd be a shame for Walker to fall into the category of 'boo'd ex players' - because he really was a great servant to our club.

Yes, the way he decided to jump ship midway through the season was out of order, but he was most likely tapped up and badly advised. Look at him. He's not the sharpest tool, is he.

I know I'm going to change the mind of anyone, and I wouldn't argue against anyone who said they think differently, but for me personally - I won't be booing him when City come to Wembley, although I won't be clapping him either.

Also - Walkers son is a Spurs fan.

For the record - fuck City and their oil money.

Walker's son will be a Citeh fan by now.

I am not sure I'll boo him but I 100% definitely won't applaud him.

The obvious sollution here is to tap up Walker's kid if he wants to be a player himself. Get him into the academy.

Don't boo him and don't clap him. He was good servant to our club, but the comments that he's making since he's joined City. Just fuck off and don't put Spurs in your mouth.

I won’t boo him or applaud him. I’ll be watching from home and that would just be weird.

However, if I were at the game I still wouldn’t do either. I don’t think he deserves a hostile reception because he did a great job for us for a long time, and simply decided to take the opportunity for a big pay day. We got a great deal for him too.

I won’t applaud him because that sends out a terrible message to our current players. A muted response seems appropriate, but as always it’s the right of every individual fan to express themselves as they see fit.

I have no ill will to him, few would turn down the opportunity if presented, it is a job to these people remember. The real concern is not Kyle Walker the player the real concern is what he now represents.

Good luck to him. It doesn't have to be about him leaving because we can't win a trophy, perhaps we will both end the season with trophies.. smiles all round.

I'm usually pretty understanding of players leaving and I feel walker handled the situation with respect to the fans. He may of fallen out with Poch but that doesn't make him a bad guy.

It's still very recent and I bet in 4-5 years he'll be remembered very fondly by most Spurs fans.
