Ex-Spurs Player Kyle Walker

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand there goes that good will I was feeling towards Kyle. You can get fucked sunshine.

Kyle Walker: Manchester City defender says he left Tottenham to start lifting trophies
10/11 fa cup
11/12 title
12/13 nothing
13/14 title
14/15 nothing
15/16 league cup
16/17 nothing

Since 11/12 purchased gross £645,350,000
Sold £143,500,000

£501,850,000 net plus thenwages which a really conservative guesses the lowest would be another £500m.
So a cool £1bn + for 1 title and a league cup in last 5 yrs.

I think everyone should have a look at the actual footage of what was said before passing judgment.

Kyle Walker: Manchester City defender says he left Tottenham to start lifting trophies

He conceded he's "not at all" more likely to win silverware at Manchester City than Tottenham and is nothing but grateful for the club.

By all accounts, he wasn't Poch's first choice this season and the club were happy to cash in...

If that's the case why begrudge him for leaving to become first choice and doubling his pay packet in the process?

So far, he's shown nothing but respect and I was a little disheartened that the club didn't give him a warmer send off.

In a sport dominated by greedy, ungrateful and disloyal mercenaries... Kyle is definitely one of the few good eggs and I hope he gets a warm reception.

He was totally respectful to us I think, judging by the actual footage. Even aware that the interviewer was going to try and put words in his mouth and spoke up to try and undo that, but that didn't stop the media from creating headlines to create the story they wanted. The media are absolute cunts. Walker isn't. I expect he's pretty pissed off by the headlines given what he actually said.

Walker gave us 9 years and won nothing - or perhaps just the league cup (was he here for that?) so you can't blame him at age 27 thinking that he has a better chance of winning something at City. I think we are actually better than Citeh right now because we have a more together and settled squad, better manager, but it is undeniable that with the money they have they will be winning something in the time he is there. Although unlikely, he could have potentially have stayed with us another 3 or 4 years and not won anything. I do think it very likely we will win something in that time, perhaps several things, but you can see why he thinks his chances are higher at Citeh. While that's the case, he hasn't said anything disrespectful about us.

Been meaning to write something about Kyle Walker.

Loved him as part of our club and team. Was a long standing member of our club and played some great games for us. I feel he could have added a bit more to his game (crossing ability) and wish him all the best at his new club.

I'm a big fan of Trippier as from what he has done since being brought into the 1st team has shown that he is the new star at right back. So I'm not too sad Walker has gone.

Statistically Walker was more accurate crosser of the ball than Trippier........

BTW I'm not a fan of the stats used in this vid to measure these players, as I don't believe they represent the strengths and weaknesses of either player. Both are very different in what they bring but thought it interesting nonetheless as so often it is assumed his crossing was poor.

Surely the stats shouldn't even match up due to Walker having played 180 PL games for us as opposed to Trippiers 22.

Whoever put that together needs shooting.

Meh, they are done on last years numbers and on % so in theory it should make no difference. But because Tripp's played so few games (especially starting) then for sure the comparisons are skewed all over the shop both for and against each player.

For me at least, its how the team play with or without the respective player is the main area that should be looked at as the two players are very different and the numbers used do not incorporate their differences or more to the point how are FB's play when using Walker & Rose. The differences changes the dynamic and personality of the team, with Tripp's inability to take on and beat a player, it means to play him in he a) has to hit his crosses very early or b) have the ball played behind the defence for him to run onto. Both can be highly effective but both are very different approaches to how we play with Walker and Rose. With (a) Dele and Kane need to be on their bikes much, much earlier. A ball we are accustomed to see a lot as we have seen Alderwiereld (Dier & Vertonghen too) ping long diagonal balls to an on rushing Dele to great effect but with Tripps also hitting in early balls, this has changed how we compress and overload the pitch because he is now playing deeper (no need for our CB's to split anymore??). If the ball is defended then we have potentially two players out of position on who we usually rely to counter-press and defend from the front, but chances are oppo have in effectively already beaten the press with a the clearence. With (b) we will most likely have to hold back a midfielder to cover the space behind Tripps as he doesn't possess the speed or athleticism to recover repeatedly throughout a match. Interesting times.

LOLs It was at this very moment, Walker realised he made a big mistake joining a team with a shite defence and takes it out on the post. (skip to 6 mins 20 secs)

Good to see Drake with the match ball representing his Mancheters

In the States, after a long time player leaves the first time he comes back you applaud him for his service. But from that point on you boo the shit out of him as you would any other opponent.
