ENIC / Levy Out?

"Perhaps" - used to express uncertainty or possibility.

I can certainly see why any NFL franchise would be rethinking moving outside of the US given the uncertainty of international travel. Currently no fans will be in grounds before Christmas and I personally doubt if we will see them back this season.
If the long term success of this club depends on a few Yank hot-dog eating fests - we're doomed

Daniel Levy and ENIC is the biggest obstacle we need to overcome.

Ever tried those games where you have a bunjee cord around your waist and you have to run as far as you can before getting pinged back?

That's us in a Levy/ENIC existence.

Does anyone else find that banner incredibly confusing lol

Hadn't actually noticed it initially but fucking hell the designer of that has had a complete mare. The top line is what they want, and the second line is what they don't want. Not to mention use of the modern club badge like it's an official statement. State of it.

Glad I wasn't the only one!

How about not signing reinforcements when he asked to?
Unfortunately we don't have unlimited money. A lot is made out of the tranferless windows - yes we didn't buy, but we also didn't sell when we could have. Those assets have now depreciated and/or gone. That "lost" value is an expense.

Should we have bought players then? Yes. But you have to be realistic in knowing that doing so would have meant selling as well. Would we have ended up in the CL final had we done that? Perhaps...but perhaps not.

Expecting Uncle Joe to just liquidate his estate to buy footballers, however, is stupid and its not going to happen. So feeling hard done by ENIC because they force Spurs to live within our means is pretty foolish. Our next owners won't be any different.

We came close and fell short. It hurts. But its not Levy's fault that football has become such a reprehensible money laundering scheme.

It absolutely is for not backing Poch and we most definitely had some money to make a few transfers
We certainly likely had some money to make some transfers. Its entirely possible that Poch was told his shopping range without selling and decided he couldn't improve the squad. Was Grealish the difference between winning the CL and losing it? Doubtful...and thats the range we were shopping in.

And about £2B of that is Spurs as constituted. The rest is a mix of corporate holdings and leisure properties. Lewis has very low liquidity to just be running around purchasing footballers. You're basically demanding that he sell off pieces of his estate to buy players...ridiculous.
To dare is to do.

It was the transfer window before Grealish that did the damage, mate

Right, but you're being pretty absurd asking someone whose spent a lifetime building a fortune to spunk it on footballers to win some trophies.

Lewis doesn't have the money to burn on football, thats just a harsh reality. Get Bezos in, maybe, but I doubt he'd use us anything other than another funding mechanism for Blue Origin contrary to everyone's wet dreams.

My dream is for Lewis to sell to Bezos then blue origin shoot his ashes into the sun
