This cunt almost had it all. World-known manager with a decent squad on paper. Results were getting better. The football club in London, big concerts, big shows, NFL, season renewals, Amazon documentary, all that in just a single big fucking new shining stadium.

Then Kane runs off too early for a shit freekick and he makes the mistake by not signing a striker. Squad gets exhausted, more and more get injured. And just like that, we are out of the race for the CL. Revenues gone.

Never sure what Levy and his plans are. Not seeing him leave, so atleast I hope one day a bird shits on his bald head.

It's a double edged sword isn't it.

Don't get me wrong. I appreciate everything that Daniel Levy has done for the club, especially over the Poch era. Sure we had a few painful in betweens, but I always let that go when we got the new stadium complete, and thought we were on the right track when we made the finals last year.

After today though, (and I can't be the only one who feels this way) I almost wish that we could give Levy and ENIC a gold watch, forced retirement. A thank you, we will remember everything, (Christ give him a statue if he wants one) but also a it's time for you to ride in to the sunset.

Again I personally appreciate what Levy has done for Tottenham despite the growing pains, but the commercialisation of Tottenham has made it clear that their priorities and many of the fans lie on two different paths.

(I wouldn't be surprised if Levy simply wants the brand to be as big as some of those others around the world and I'm sure he got a taste for it with Son and the Korean market)

Hello there, after the match yesterday I think your club is in a period of reconstruction, with of course Morinho at the charge and for me who like your club it is the best manager and I have hope. The situation is that Kane is the key, and you have the new stadium which is a success.

Boyhood spurs fan with the clubs best intentions at heart though

Bloody hell! What a shock. :hugoshock:Can't believe ENIC & levy have no passion for the sport & our club. Just when I couldn't be more shocked its revealed they are in it to make profit as they feel it was a great business opportunity. :sandroscream:
I truly thought they were here for the glory & love of this club.

A thought ocurred to me...

One of the phrases the ENIC fanboys are most fond of is that of building "sustainable success".

Well, it seems our (relative) success isn't so sustainable after all.

So they would agree that ENIC/Levy need to change tack, right?

I think Janssen was Mitchell - and N’Jie, of course. And Poch binned off Wimmer so not sure how that can be a success?

Question marks with Mitchell was always who was who's signing.

Personally of the opinion that Levy and Poch mainly both got far to involved in the recruitment side it's obvious we need to get a DOF in to rebuild the side in a clear manner that the manager wants. Last thing we need is the club fighting to go different paths again.

Levy just need to set a budget and leave it to people who actually know football

I don't know, I think Levy had his fingers burnt so many times with promising young players that he just said fuck it and took responsibility. From what I've heard about our transfer policy, it's more a list handed to Levy by the "Head Coach" who then goes and has a business meeting with other members of the organisation, they then deicide what's a viable option on the list and if not, well too bad. 18 months proves that.

I mean Christ sake, when Mourinho was announced "head coach" I knew it was a doomed relationship. Mourinho's used to losing and being able to go to a chairman and say I need this, this and this if you want to win (at least at Inter).

It's almost like needing a Bugatti and all the dealer can offer is a Skoda.

God it almost makes me miss the Redknapp days.

Been saying from day one Levy/enic are only in this for the money.

Step 1- find a fairy decent cheap top half of table club with good history, low debt and strong fan base but lacking facilities, infrastructure, lower expectations

Step 2- put in plans for renovation or rebuilt of stadium, training facilities, using cheap loans and government help.

Step 3- employ a "head coach" who only deals with day to day training of players but has little or no impact on player transfers

Step 4- buy players using only money from players sold. No money from Enic itself will be spent on players. All money spent must come internally from Tottenham Hotspur Football Club

Step 5- buy young players with potential at the cheap end of the market with the hope that in a few years some of them will become valuable assets to be sold on to bigger clubs, ie flipping players, whilst maintaining the illusion of exciting, attacking football and "projects"

Step 6- keep a strict wage structure

Step 7- aim for champions league football to win TV revenue money, spenting as little money possible in trying to achieve this aim. CHAMPIONS LEAGUE MONEY IS THE CROWN JEWEL BUT MUST SPEND LITTLE TO ACHIEVE THIS

Step 8- milk the shit out of the club with NFL deals etc and try to break into worldwide fan bases, particularly USA.

Step 9- build stadium

Step 10- rinse and repeat the same cycle of buying cheap young B level players that will thrive under the right coach until their value skyrockets and the squad as a whole has nothing left to give, head coaches are sacked, players are sold and the tottenham cycle repeats itself. AND THE ONLY SUCKERS ARE YOU FANS WHO CONTINUE TO SPEND THOUSANDS LINING THE POCKETS OF AN OFFSHORE INVESTMENT COMPANY AND VARIOUS SHAREHOLDERS

I don't think there is too much wrong with growing the brand, trying to increase revenue but along the way you have to be selective, discerning. For example the Amazon film is a disgrace, should never have been agreed to.

It's the footballing side where the real problems reside.

That just proved they don't care if it has a negative impact on the pitch, ££ is too good for them to turn down. Shows where their priorities lie.

I bet that it was supposed to be a season long advertisement to potential buyers, thought that the moment they announced the deal.

With the new stadium (with no naming rights so far), Jose coming in and the documentary (which I'm sure will inadvertently be one big ENIC circle jerk) I wouldn't have been surprised if Levy was eyeing up old Bezos to buy the club himself

Growing the brand would probably need it's own thread if we really wanted to get in to that though.
