Levy is clueless. The man has no plan. What was the point of speaking to Conte or Poch if it was just a ploy to get people to renew their season ticket. If the manager we appoint is not one of Poch or Ten Haag I would suggest we boycott the matches.

ENIC cannot use ‘to dare is to do’ motto on any promotional material given this is false advertising.

Top 4 with lowest net spend in the league is the goal as well as how many extra events they can put on.

Yesterdays news is IMO, the biggest fuck up by Levy to date. The curtain has been properly pulled back. He’s hinted at lack of spending vs. ambition before but he’s now shown beyond contempt for the fans in having no interest in making the club elite. Poch was right, Rose was right etc. etc.

Time to fight back.

I did.

Levy is football commercialism incarnate. As I keep saying, Levy operates Spurs to the absolute finest, last detail in EXACTLY the same way with EXACTLY the same values as PSG or Man City with the ONLY exception being the amount of money dedicated to the playing squad.
So you think Spurs is run to the same business model as Man City?
OK mate.
You know when I said Levy knew 100x more about THFC than you? I was wrong.

My biggest issue is that there is no coherent vision for the club. They’re constantly caught between short term ambition and operating as a long term project. They don’t want to invest quite enough to win in the short term, but don’t want to build an infrastructure around a project in the shape of a Dortmund or a Leicester or a Leipzig because they seem to think they’re above that. As a result, they’re rudderless. Choose a fucking path. Until then we’ll constantly be adrift.
The only long term plan is sale of the club for profit.

City have the former Barca DoF providing support to Pep. It’s more professional than ours is. By the sounds of it we are closer to PSG who have Leonardo who acts like a control freak from reports and pisses of all the managers, PSG still have cash though.

Lets put it out there.

Whoever still supports ENIC and Daniel Levy, put your name here.

When myself and others were in a tiny minority voicing our disgust, we still stood up for our beliefs.
Lets see you all show the same conviction now the tide has turned.
Surely you did not expect Conte appointment to go ahead. We all knew the club has no money, ENIC never put money in and Conte wants big budget.

Then why do it and humiliate the club in front of the football World, raise fan expectations and delay our actual appointment of a manager. How you look at it and whatever angle it makes us look so shit.

Do what? they had a shortlist and spoke to all of them. It was the so called in the Knows that made us believe he was going to sign.

ClosedAccount542 . Do you honestly think ENIC are involved in football for any other reason than to exploit it's popularity?

And if your so keen to see us merely as an acadamy producing our own players rather than buying players who can win us titles, are you not disgusted that we charge the highest season ticket prices in Europe? Surely those two things ain't compatible?

Finally, what is your opinion on the club charging at least 50% more than everyone else for the final home game, then parking the fans as far away from the pitch as possible to maximise advertising revenue.

Daniel Levy treats the fans with utter contempt. He milks our loyalty for every penny he can squeeze. He draws a higher salary than all of his contemporaries even though we never win a thing on the pitch.

Why do you offer this man so much respect?

I'll try to answer your questions John.

I treat him with respect because, as many others have said many times, under his stewardship we have risen from a mid-table low-income team to a top 4 PL and CL final team with the world's best facilities and stadium. And he's worked 14 hour days 6x a week to get us there. I don't know which bit of that you find hard to understand.

I think we have more agreement with each other on the rest of your post....

No, I don't like the ticket prices and in fact I jacked my season ticket in last year partly because I didn't;t think the price was fair and partly because I couldn't stomach watching my team defend a 1-0 lead in every game under a dinosaur of a manager (who was brought in, by the way, mainly to satisfy the "must win trophies" supporter).

The ticket prices are high, obviously to pay for the new stadium.

I think the club is way too commercial and I think we the fans are ripped off, but I think that's usually because modern football is a broken commercial enterprise blah blah middle-aged man blah blah. Footballers earning £200k a week who don't try and aren't even very good. I won't go on.

Oh and he doesn't actually 'treat fans with contempt', I've seen him treat fans he meets only with respect (even although some of the plonkers on here do actually deserve contempt). What he does do is try to run the club as a commercial business because we are not owned by oil sheiks or Russian Oligarchs, which is fine by me.....

Now, having said all that at the top, I would indeed rather watch a team of 20 English lads, raised in our Academy, who died for the badge every weekend and played good attacking football - as long as they gave their best I wouldn't care if we came 1st or 10th because they were 'my' lads playing for 'my' club. I realise in this respect I am wholly old-fashioned and unusual and I should probably stop supporting Spurs but after 50 years I can't. [It's also why I find the abuse that Winks or Mason get on here so utterly appalling].

Btw, all those posters disagreeing with my original post, what are you disagreeing with? that Levy knows the club 100x better than you? or that he cares 10x more than you?
