I love the title of that article "has fans shocked"

"OMG SOMEONE THATS BALD USED TO HAVE HAIR?!?!?!?!?! THIS CANT BE!"

And the spending successfully charts?
The fairly large net spend of the past 5 years and the positive net spend the previous five is pretty perfectly encapsulated by selling Kyle Walker for 50M, buying Serge Aurier for 25M, then five years later we terminate Aurier's contract just to be rid of him and spend the remaining 25M on a carbon copy in Royal.

And now we're burning days in January fucking around with the signing of yet another RB.

**RWB/RW.

Technically.

Spurs sixth in Europe's 2021 spending charts

Let's see how that transfer expendure was spread across 'decent, but high potential players with high potential return on investment' and how their wage budget compares to the best in the world.

Sorry but if weve spent so much money, why are we £400m in the green on financial fair play.

Think about that.....£400m. This nonsense has to stop!

Doesn't mean we have £400m to spend, it means we could spend up to £400m and still be FFP compliant based on how much profit the club have made and our very modest wages to turnover ratio.

That report calculated what we could spend over a 10 year period, the firsrt 7-8 years of the decade the spending was largely minimal, the other 2-3 years the average spend per year has shot up hence why since 2019 we have the 7th highest net spend in the league.

So when you say they haven't spent, well initially yes but they have spent recently but spent poorly.

Thank you, that's how I see it, but couldn't be bothered to type it all out :)

Since when is spending the "7th as much" showing ambition to be title contenders and cup champions?

7th doesn't even get us into Europa.

Stop shifting overton's window, Levy.

I don't believe anyone was making that argument, I believe that the debate was whether we spent or not and you said that we're near the bottom of investement for the squad, cleary we aren't.

Less of moving the goalposts and more of the honest debates please.
