I'm not blaming Jose, I'm just making my point that with the amount of money given to management in the last 7-9 months to spend, why should Levy be getting it in the neck?

5th highest net spend in the world across the last two transfer windows John. Why didn't the guys with the need use that more efficiently?
One of the issues I've been consistent with is that while other major clubs buy players for the moment, i.e players that address immediate needs and make an immediate impact, we buy players that have potential and hope they make an impact in the future.

It's a policy that's seen us become wealthier and wealthier, but left us seriously trailing our rivals in what really matters to football fans.

Its also a policy that seems to be continuing despite our elevation to #8 on the money list..

Do you honestly believe if any other top club had gone into January with no fit, available striker, they'd have come out of January with no fit, available striker?

But it's that exact policy that has elevated us to #8 on the money list is it not? I mean we are where we are on that list doing what we've been doing mate.

And to answer your question, yes I do think we should have signed a striker, it was slapdash not to but we don't know what goes on behind the scenes, we don't know the details or reasons why something didn't occur. I don't think it's as easy to get a striker as you say it is mate, Man U one of the richest out there tried for Josh King deadline day and ended up with a loan from the Chinese league, Barcelona had to parachute Braithwaite, ex-Middlesborough & Championship player in despite all their riches and the other release clauses they could have paid for a La Liga striker.. Saying and doing are two very different things but to reiterate yes I do think we should have took a punt, probably on Piatek looking back on it all for a few that wouldn't have killed us.

So have you heard of the two strikers formations? We’re using a 4-4-2 mainly when defending.
But yes if we had a world class striker and he played better than Kane then yes, Kane would be fucking benched. Or does that ruin your little fantasy?
Brilliant. So not only do we spunk a load of cash on a striker we didn’t need at the time, we change the way we play to 442. So we have to change more players who are suited to that system. Costing more money. Oh and we now have a manager who is playing two up front when he doesn’t play two up front.

And yes, benching Kane is a fantasy. You’re right. But it’s your fucking fantasy only buddy. I doubt anyone with the learning capacity above that of a mackerel thinks that being on the bench for a period is in Harry’s short term future. It’s fine you do though. Just a bit mental.

Because Jose doesnt sign players. The chairman does. Its more like..."look Jose , strikers are too expensive right now, maybe in the summer yea? You want anything else instead" , "Alrite bruv , can you get me bergwijn at least? Anything will do at this point"

Except the chairman doesn't sign players alone, all our transfer decisions are made by a transfer committee have been for years, to somehow imagine that Levy does it all highhandedly is just daft. You can make up silly prose to fit your narrative but it's just drivel

Lot's of people will realise just what utter bollocks they have been talking when the Amazon documentary comes out - bet they all call it fake and Levy manipulated, sadly you just can't cure stupid.

This is how you get action....

You can moan on here until you're blue in the face but it won't change anything, will it.

Useless N'kunts

Piatek was available for one. We even have a "Have we signed Piatek yet?" thread. But during negotiations Levy went into hardcore Levy mode and demanded we take him on Loan instead of paying the £23.5million that Berlin ultimately ended up paying.
I'll say this.....if man utd, chavs, Barca and all the other clubs publicly looking for strikers didnt think he was up to it( to the extent that Man Utd, one of the worlds richest football clubs, preferred odion ighalo, failed Watford centre forward,on loan than pay 23.5 mil), and his only option in the end was relegation threatened Hertha Berlin, then he wasnt good enough.

And if we had bought him, some of the dull cunts on this site would be whining about us only buying cheap, not buying superstars, blah blah blah.

Why do you always repeat this nonsense. Your are right I cant cure your stupid.

You seriously think that all members of this so called transfer committee are equal? Levy can create a transfer committee where the managers and scouts tell him who to buy, but in the end its the guy that has access to the club's money who decides what gets bought. Mourinho and the rest of the transfer committee CANNOT OVERRULE THE FUCKING OWNER!!! They cant just say, "Its 5 votes for yes, and only 1 vote for a no, so we will go through with this transfer" even when the no is from Levy. They dont have the fucking powers to do so. In the end they have to accept from the ones Levy tells them he can get .

Problem is Mourinho said he was happy with the squad - whether that was a lie to get the job won't make any difference to Levy, as you say he's a stubborn fucker and will expecting CL football with pretty much the current squad because that's what Mourinho promised.

Didn’t Poch also say that he was happy with the squad?
I didn’t believe him any more than I believe José

See if Jose says he’s happy at the beginning of next season if he doesn’t get the players he wants

Got it you know best - you're wrong and full of shit - but I guess stacking shelves or cutting lawns hasn't exposed you to corporate level boardrooms much .... so I guess we shouldn't fault your stupidity.

FYI - Levy isn't our owner - but you knew that right?

This is an odd post, and basically for the most part untrue.

Are you saying we are trailing our rivals more since ENIC took over, or have we closed the gap massively?

Chelsea couldn't sign a striker when they wanted to, United signed a striker from China, does this not tell you that strikers were hard to come by?

Its surely pretty obvious the chairman would have final say on any signings. He is a part owner in ENIC so technically is a part owner in our club.

Ah right.

So that's why Chelsea, United, Barca etc were able to sign a quality striker and we weren't.........Oh wait.
Why people bother about what other clubs do is a mystery to me.

But seeing as you cite three cases...

United and FCB, for better or worse, signed a striker.

Chelsea have two back-ups, one of which played extremely well on Saturday. The injured one that caused their supposed crisis also returned in the same match.

So not fantastic examples I'm sure you'll agree

So Levy identified Bergwijn then?
No you didnt understand what I meant.

Mourinho's most important need was a striker. But theres other players in his list too for lower priority positions. Levy wont buy one coz they arent cheap. Jose still needs some goalscorers due to losing the best one we have, so he goes further down his list of players and ask we get at least Bergwijn coz he might be useful for a few goals since Levy wont fulfil the squad's number 1 need.
