Allegedly Donley has deleted all his social media posts to do with Stoke.

Think that’s the gen z equivalent of saying fuck you.

He’d still got his orient ones up (I just checked I wasn’t being bullshitted by this dodgy carpenter but his info seems legit).
Although I have no idea what he would ever have to post about living in Stoke. It’s shit.

Contrast with Alfie Devine who is holding down a regular spot at Preston. 2 teams pushing for promotion but one is trusted by the manager the other isn’t. Pull the plug on Stoke, Jamie deserves better.

He definitely did take down an Instagram post or two, that is 100% true.

He's away with the Northern Ireland Senior team during the break, games against Slovakia and Luxembourg, hopefully gets some minutes there. Our U21s don't play again until Jan so not like we can mutually recall and get him match fit for a new loan in Jan either. Not much we can do for the next month and a half except hope it turns around.

Well I have no idea what he “deserves”.

I do know players don’t always get on with managers and that’s the only person they have to impress. If he’s not showing what Robins wants and they have fallen out it’s best to get him somewhere he could play.

The flip side is he doesn’t want to be seen as being difficult to manage.

Ash Phillips is being trusted at CB. So I think it’s more something he’s not doing than a lack of trust in youth by Robins.

Time will tell. Might be a storm in a tea cup.

It's a 2-way street. They knew what kind of player they were loaning, what his strengths and weaknesses are. If they wanted something else then why did they bring him in?

You never really know the player till you have him.

Like saying why would someone take a job somewhere they hate. You didn’t know you would hate it until you’re actually working there.

Reality is Stoke have been very good this season, if they were struggling and not playing him I’d be more concerned.
He’s young. He’s finding his feet in the game. It’s a step up each time. League 1 to Championship to premier league.

He’s not played as much adult football as Devine either. It’s just their development curves. Be good to see him fight his way into the Stoke team though.

Gold:

Manor Solomon (Villarreal)

Manor Solomon's loan at Villarreal has not been a success so far unfortunately as the 26-year-old has made just one La Liga start for the club.

The winger has been left unused on the bench for three of the past four matches in the league and missed out entirely on their matchday squad for Saturday's 2-0 win at Espanyol due to a back problem. In the Champions League, he has been unused in three of the Spanish club's four games, albeit one of those against Juventus he missed as it fell on the Jewish holy day of Yom Kippur.

Solomon's back problem has kept him out of international duty with Israel this month but he is expected to return after the break for Villarreal's upcoming matches.

There has been some speculation that the Spurs winger could return from Spain to head out on loan elsewhere in January if his situation does not improve, with another spell at Leeds United mooted.

Manor Solomon (Villarreal)

In contrast to Vuskovic's time in Germany, Manor Solomon's last-gasp loan to Villarreal on deadline day has not been a success so far as the 26-year-old has made just one La Liga start for the club.

The winger has been left unused on the bench for three of the past four matches in the league and missed out entirely on their most recent matchday squad for Saturday's 2-0 win at Espanyol due to a back problem. In the Champions League, he has been unused in three of the Spanish club's four games, albeit one of those against Juventus he missed as it fell on the Jewish holy day of Yom Kippur.

Solomon's back problem has kept him out of international duty with Israel this fortnight but he is expected to return to action soon.

The question is whether he gets any minutes on his return. This felt like a hastily put together loan after Crystal Palace pulled the plug on the winger's loan move there.

If the Spurs winger's situation does not improve then it would not be the biggest surprise if he returned from Spain to head out on loan elsewhere in January. Another spell at Leeds United, who need goals and creativity, would likely be popular all round.

Verdict: New loan if nothing changes
