Was very clearly our best player first half.

Didn’t really bother with the second half after the first VAR delay, maybe he was bad second half

He really wasnt. I was at the game, he was all over the shop, constantly out of position, constantly, not tracking his man. Numerous times he failed to take key passes and instead tried to dribble, He had one good moment but he was rightly hooked.

This.

People seem to love the way he tears about, but it can be be a bit headless at times, and without the ball he can be really slapdash and undisciplined.

He’s got some decent qualities, and he’s only a kid, I don’t expect him to be the full package at this stage of his career, he’s had some decent games/moments, but like I said in a previous post it’s okay to call his faults and his when he’s not great too.

I agree he’s still green, but I wish our senior pros showed the same desire to make something happen that he does!

Do like him. Obvious talent to go with physicality. Think he's showing more at this age due to the latter. Needs to learn a lot about being a midfielder before he should be a nailed on starter but that's where we've left the squad at with our transfer business.

When on the ball running at players he's very exciting but off the ball, positioning etc he's a headless chicken. And he doesn't create or score enough to justify being so chaotic at other stuff.

A talent. But that's all. We've thrown everything at signing young talent and the result is a chaotic mess of a team.

Thought he was very good when he was involved. We just didn’t get a foothold in the game to get him involved more. Even when he was available for the ball it was just getting dithered on and recycled.

Personally think it’s blindingly obvious he’s going to be a great player and probably our best player in the not to distant future. Just the way he moves with the ball is special.

When the players were dropping like flies to injury, a month or two ago, Danso, Bergvall and Spence were like new players; full of enthusiasm and endeavour.

Danso is now injured and Spence is starting to look as lethargic as the rest of the players who have forgotten how to play under Ange. Bergvall isn't full blown yet but; he has symptoms.

It's a disease that needs to be cured.

Over to you Mr Levy.

First half he was easily our best player. Picked up the ball and carried it forward, played through balls, dribbled past players, got into a dangerous shooting area and had the shot blocked

I watched the game and respectfully disagree. Had impetus and tried to make things happen.

Who else played better?

Agree to disagree mate. He had a that good moment on the ball, I don't doubt his dribbling quality, its more his positional play etc he's just so incredibly raw and you can tell he didn't come through an academy system in a top league.

I personally thought Bentacur. Was very press resistant bar one moment, was very good with his passing, positionally excellent and worked his socks off, started some nice counters with quick 1 2s beating the press.

Isn't the headless chicken issue people are bemoaning just a function of how we're "coached" and "tactically" set up?

He's a 19 year old playing in a system with no structure or plan.

Kids gonna be a superstar playing in the right team with the right manager.
