He was only ever a bench/squad option under Poch. There's a reason for that and today we saw why.

It's a sign of our decline that he's become basically a first-choice when we really should have been looking to sign a better player in that position.

Another example of our diabolical squad-management and transfer policy over the last 4 years.

Last two managers just love the Portuguese speakers.

Agreed. There's a reason that people refer to how incredible kane and sons partnership is, rather our front attacking 3 (e.g. Mane, firmino, salah).

Yet again, spurs had chanced upon a couple of gems and decided to milk it for all its worth rather than 'completing the jigsaw'

Should have sold him last summer, just as we should have sold Doherty, Sanchez, Davies, Winks, Alli and Kane. He had a decent pre season and we seem to change our plans. Ludicrous.
Exactly, that squad needs butchering and it should have happened 4 years ago when Poch wanted it. We've allowed too many poor players like Winks and Dele to just hang around here going through the motions and now the end-result is the shit we see every week.

You can't even change it because the players who didn't play today were playing against Vitesse and we all saw how shit they were then.

Yeah he isn't consistent enough to be a starter

Honestly in the era of Nuno-ball we can only really rely on Lucas doing his head down and dribble shit to get us anywhere in the attacking third. As frustrating as it can be, he is actually pretty important to us in a team that is devoid of creativity like ours currently is.
