Yeah, big big goal.

It's strange how little Moura scores given that he actually does have composure in front of goal and is pretty decent even from a bit of distance. He's no Gabrial Jesus.

Wish he learned to just release the ball more often then make runs into the box.

Technically he's excellent (some of those goals are pure class!)... Even has a good pass on him WHEN he does look up.......... Just never quite learned to knit it all together.

Triggering the contract extension suggests Conte thinks Lucas can be converted into a RWB. Victor Moses gets mentioned a lot, but of course Conte also won Serie A with another bang average winger in Ashley Young at LWB.

I remain confused as to whether we have a clear plan for the RWB position. All our options have different qualities, and none seem a perfect fit.

Emerson - good RB, but not an attacking RWB.

Doherty - WB is his natural position, but his crosses are usually shanked & his game is based on making the inside run to arrive late in the box (where he scores a few goals with his physicality), rather than going outside.

Lucas Moura - a project who would have to learn to release the ball much earlier into Kane, Son & Richarlison, rather than indulging in head down dribbling.

Spence - lots of attacking potential, but again a project at this level who will need games to develop.

And then the rumours that Conte sees Zaniolo as a WB, which would be a major project. Does Zaniolo, another of the Roma "heirs to Totti", even want to play WB? Conte has said a player has to "fully commit" to the change of position.

My conclusion: the best fit to play RWB this season is Ivan Perisic, and he'll be playing on the left....
