It looks as if Frank will game plan for specific opposing teams. If one of our potential formations is 3 CBs with WBs, and given attacking set pieces will be a significant part of our attacking threat, we should definitely keep Vuskovic. It looks as if he can play both LCB and RCB, and he's very dangerous in the air in opposing boxes.
HSV have just been promoted back into the Bundesliga, so are not playing in Europe. Mario, Luka's brother and also highly rated, is serving a doping ban there, and apparently the family are grateful for the support Hamburg have shown him. So, as long as the doping shenanigans aren't repeated, a season in the Bundesliga would be great experience, and he'd quickly settle.
But if he stayed at Spurs, since he's only 18, Luka would be eligible for all our domestic games, even if he didn't make the CL squad.
It's sadly inevitable that we will suffer injuries, and 20-25 games in domestic competitions for us would ensure Luka develops as a player.
Last night underlined how important squad depth is, and Vuskovic has plenty to offer. Keep him at Spurs.
