Player Manor Solomon

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The rumour was that Shakhtar were raging about this because they're losing their overseas players for free due to the ruling by FIFA that they could cancel their contracts while the war is ongoing.

Yet we've also just announced a friendly with Shakhtar for "the Ukrainian people" in the last week before this transfer.

This smells like Levy doing a deal to tone down criticism of the move.
I get how bad it sucks for them, but it's hard to argue that international armed warfare doesn't qualify as force majuere. I don't know that FIFA actually had any options.

What’s going on everyone? Here’s a video detailing everything you need to know about Manor Solomon in under 4 minutes for those interested. I didn’t expect Tottenham to be doing such intelligent business following last season’s debacle, but this is very much a welcome surprise. Hope you find it useful!

So he would have only had 6 months left on his Shaktaar contract anyway..... Hardly a big, unscrupulous rinse by THFC.

It's strange how being 'free' somehow makes this a decent signing . So if we'd had to pay for him he wouldn't be a decent signing :roflmao:

The mental gymnastics really is off the scale this summer. Its ike getting those disappointing pants and socks for Christmas that you feel obliged to feel grateful for.

It is what it is guys. Another cheap punt. Or free punt in this case.

Progress?

Yeah but tbf we faced a lot of competition for this free player, a real battle for his signature.

Can't wait till I break the news to the Gooner and Chav bitches at the coffee morning this Friday.
They'll be so envious while I sit there with a smug look on the old boat race

Show them his dribble completion % stats and they’ll start absolutely bloody shitting themselves.

Then finish them off by showing them that Whoscored have ‘no weaknesses’ under his name. Even Superman had fucking kryptonite, we’ve basically signed the Israeli Messi.

Maybe not silly money but Shakhtar always had a pretty big wage budget and he's fairly hot property. It's not like it would've been just us and Fulham in for him.
Who else was in for him? Because Fulham players aren't going to improve this team.

BTW can every dumb fuck who pipes up with 'but he's free' or equivalent nonsense, get back in their fucking box and shut the fuck up please. Thanks very much.

This again? Do you ever post anything other than needlessly shitting on other people's excitement?

For once in your life, stop subjecting us to your perpetual misery you boring tosser.

Maybe the price isn’t important at all. We’re not trying to spend money, we’re trying to improve the team.

Does this guy do that?

Who knows. Probably better than Danjuma.

Why is it that when we get a player who’s came from a team that is lower than us and not from abroad he’s automatically shit. The guy has got his opportunity to get to a big club and might just turn out to be a very good player for us. A lot on here have a love in for Gil because he came from the Spanish league but this guy has produced on the biggest stage in the champions league and is a stand out for his country.
At nearly 40 caps for his country at 23 shows how highly thought of he is in his homeland.

Haha yeah, no good players ever came from Fulham

:dembelefingers:

Because a lot of our fans have become very bitter and jaded after the last few years of failure. The best team in our history had key players signed from Fulham, Southampton, Leeds, Sheffield United and MK Dons but they have forgotten this and seem to think that all our good players came from Barcelona or something.

Spurs fans 'why can we never unearth the next big thing anymore, we need to be more like Brighton in our recruitment'

Also Spurs fans 'wahhhhhh we bought a new player who I can't show off about to my mates cos he isn't that great on FIFA'

Honestly I don't think the fans who say this stuff know much about football. They are just addicted to moaning.

This is exactly it mate. Imagine we never gave someone like Dembele a chance? I know we’ve had a lot of poor signings but Solomon looks the part and has proved he can do it. Ange always makes subs in the forward and midfield areas and this lad could make a massive impact from the bench or starting.

Not necessarily the same group of people. Not sure why we should be happy for ENIC to put a billion quid of debt on the club just to end up back where we were under Jol, though I understand the nostalgia for that era.
