Sure. We can put "shag Jennifer Lawrence" up there too, I guess.

2-8 are realistic goals.

I'd argue winning the Champion's League is more realistic than winning the Premier League. We've always had a good record in Europe, and it wasn't that long ago we got to the final.Sure. We can put "shag Jennifer Lawrence" up there too, I guess.

I get where you're coming from...but we're in the CL - we're not going to win the fucking thing without a massive dose of good fortune, so its not like we should go bankrupt buying players. Madrid, PSG, and City, as always, are the favorites. Bayern has an outside shot, as usually, because they have an expensive squad that really doesn't have any other competition to focus on.
Our priority is:
- Win the PL (lolz)
- Qualify for next season's CL.
- Advancing to the CL KO stage to get the revenue.
- Advance to the CL QF or beyond if we get a good draw.
- Win the FA Cup.
- Finish above woolwich.
- Finish above chelsea.
- Win the LC.

With a bit more luck, we might well have won it too, Liverpool were there for the taking that night.
So much build-up for such a dreadful game of football. We'll never know....... The dodgy pen mean they never had to truly work for it...... And we were lackluster ourselves.

Poorer overall quality and our performance was worse in Bilbao, but it had some sloppy drama about it. The CL final was just lifeless.
One thing I hope we find out on old-timers football podcasts and the like from folks in our camp: how obvious was it in training that Kane had no business starting that game fitness-wise?Stupidly hot night for a couple of limey clubs to deal with too...
All the while Poch & Eriksen were thinking about "new adventures" and Harry was half-crocked.![]()
We were shit for the first hour or so I agree, probably shell-shocked by the penalty decision. We'll never know....... The dodgy pen mean they never had to truly work for it...... And we were lackluster ourselves.
The penalty decision murdered that game from a neutral's perspective.

Paulinha at reasonable rate.I want to know the logic behind the decision that he wasn't sent back to the Bavarian Bindippers.
Oh that's naughty.

The 'Thomas Treble' headlines make me think it's written in the stars!
What a season we're gonna have!
You are likely right in terms of odds. If I had to bet my house on one or the other, it'd definitely be on a fortunate run of draws in the CL and one great night in the final.I'd argue winning the Champion's League is more realistic than winning the Premier League. We've always had a good record in Europe, and it wasn't that long ago we got to the final.

I still think if Lucas started, and we still lost, the narrative of “how did Kane start on the bench?” would’ve been/continued to be a huge story. Kane wasn’t fit but imo Poch’s hands were tied in a way that only would’ve been accepted if we won.One thing I hope we find out on old-timers football podcasts and the like from folks in our camp: how obvious was it in training that Kane had no business starting that game fitness-wise?
The only good thing about the early penalty is I immediately set about getting so pissed I've only a hazy recollection of the rest of that dreadful match. So much build-up for such a dreadful game of football.

I agree Poch would have been condemned either way assuming we'd still eventually lost, but starting Lucas Moura would have been the right thing to do.I still think if Lucas started, and we still lost, the narrative of “how did Kane start on the bench?” would’ve been/continued to be a huge story. Yes I'm aware Sonny's first season was shit, as well as Darren Adnerton's so we can say Tel's was shit too - same energy mah dude the players have to prove their worth not the other way round. It’s mad how kids aren’t even given a season now by fans, especially one that’s clearly trying.
Back in the 80s and 90s I’d patiently wait until players got to 27-28 to finally come good !
The decision should never have considered narrative, whatever decision gave us a better chance to win the game should have been made.I still think if Lucas started, and we still lost, the narrative of “how did Kane start on the bench?” would’ve been/continued to be a huge story.
