Player Mathys Tel

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Well it is pretty certain that we are not paying 60 mil for him.

He literally has fallen to bench with players coming back and proved that he cannot be used as CF cover.

60 mil, even if young, would have to be a starter or at least close to it. He has not shown nearly enough for that kind of money.

Even Tel himself shouldn't want to be here next season or at any other club in the league. At this stage of his career he should probably go to a team like Leipzig or even Ajax and play week in week out, gain some confidence and go from there. He is nowhere near ready for the Premier League.

8.5m loan fee for 5 months of footy.

Hindsight's a wonderful thing, of course, but this was a dud move. Scarlett would have shown more gumption at the very least.

But the club desperately wanted to spunk £50m on him
Does no-one do their homework on players?

If he was at a serious PL club & working with a manager who knows his football, he'd do a lot better.

Look at what Emery is getting out of Rashford & Asensio...or Eddie Howe with Murphy & Joelinton.

the attack has been garbage and really struggling to put coherent moves together since early Jan. Before he arrived, i dont feel i can really judge how good he is right now.

just look at solanke, son, maddison, odobert, and johnson of late. Are they all garbage also

There's no way we're buying him on a permanent deal.

I'd rather give his minutes to Mikey Moore in the league, considering the league campaign is pretty much over.

You just know we will drop that 50 and watch him turn into ndombele before our very eyes.

There’s nothing in his attitude that even remotely resembles Tanguy.

When you see the technical ability, the work rate on the pitch and the attitude off it, sometimes you just need to have a bit of patience to see through the temporary form issues.

The problem is that we didn’t need to sign a player who required patience, we needed help right now. Which is a classic symptom of the way Levy’s model works. He prioritizes the deal that’s offered over the squad needs.

By the time we’ve seen Tel really show what he can be, there will be another squad need that won’t be fixed because there isn’t a deal to do for what we really need. It’s whack-a-mole squad building.

Just look at this signing, and look at Villa, and compare the impact their January signings have made compared to ours.

All you need to know about how awful this club is run.
