the attack has been garbage and really struggling to put coherent moves together since early Jan. Before he arrived, i dont feel i can really judge how good he is right now.
just look at solanke, son, maddison, odobert, and johnson of late. Are they all garbage also
MIkey Moore has showed much more than Tel, so I don't want his pathway blocked.
It would be lunacy to spend 60 mill on Tel. My bet is he goes back to Bayern in the summer and they will loan him to another German or French team.
I was being a bit facetious Richard. I know he is not Tanguy... I'm just saying we are not 50m Tel away from being half decent which in effect, backs up your whack-a-mole analogy of our squad building. There’s nothing in his attitude that even remotely resembles Tanguy.
When you see the technical ability, the work rate on the pitch and the attitude off it, sometimes you just need to have a bit of patience to see through the temporary form issues.
The problem is that we didn’t need to sign a player who required patience, we needed help right now. Which is a classic symptom of the way Levy’s model works. He prioritizes the deal that’s offered over the squad needs.
By the time we’ve seen Tel really show what he can be, there will be another squad need that won’t be fixed because there isn’t a deal to do for what we really need. It’s whack-a-mole squad building.

But only as a left wing
I'd consider it under a new manager, but my concern is he'd be taking up a valuable squad space, and he's shown nothing so far.
I suppose he'd take Werner's spot. Only problem is we are likely swapping one ineffective wide player for another, and the squad is no stronger.
It's a tough one, have to hope the new manager whoever he is, knows what he's doing and makes the right call.
I can agree with that but doesn't look like Ange fancies him as part of his best team and it'll become more difficult for him when Richy and Kulu are back. Would love to see him bang in a few and at least have that complication but feels like we've broken him alreadyThink everyone can agree that 50m would be a crazy outlay right now.
It’s easy to say right now that we can call it quits at the end of the loan but there’s also the chance that he scores a few goals before the end of the season and we start to see the potential in action. Then it gets complicated.
I think there is a player in there but he needs nurturing and guidance under a proper tactical setup, he came in half way through our season in an absolute dumpster fire of a team.
Happy for him to take up a spot to push the competition higher because all we have out there is a 17 year old MM and Son who's legs have gone
If we can arrange another loan and providing this team will be more settled under a new gaffer then I'd like to see what he could do.
Lankshear hasn't scored in the Championship yet either. Not exactly demanding a chance in the Spurs first team rotation. At this point there’s no point even loaning him again, never mind buying him. I’d rather develop Moore, Scarlett and Lankshear.
For £50m we can buy a much better player than Tel. He may be a prospect but we have more than enough of those already. The teams needs quality now not more punts.
I think there is a player there. My question would be, can we sign better for that position in the summer?
Son's legs have gone, so he's no longer a starter, at least he shouldn't be. MM is still young. We have nobody else. Tel could ne an option but it's a big risk.
I'll be disappinted if we don't sign a really good LWF this summer. I know, I'll be disappointed.
I'm really on the fence, I just don't know.
He's more of an inside forward and I'm coming from the angle that Ange won't be around next season so we don't need to play with wide forwards not at least in the extreme of Ange ball.
Also I'm looking on the market, there's not a whole load of left wing forwards we could supposedly get, no one stands out really.
