Manager Mauricio Pochettino

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I just want to see a Plan B from Poch in some games. Stoke really highlighted what happens when his system falls down, namely the utter dependance on the full backs providing any form of real width... And with two centrebacks there it totally fucked it. I get why he did it, its Stoke and he was worried about set pieces etc but they dont play like that anywhere near as much now under Hughes... If Rose was fit and Yedlin can play in a World Cup then they should be able to manage the Britannia on a Saturday afternoon.

There has to be another plan, and not just "stick Bob on after 70 and hope for the best".

Stick Ade on after 70 and hope for the best?

Im not a football manager you stupid dick. Seems like you are happy that we are failing. Why dont you go back to an arse forum instead of trolling like a cunt.

If you think I'm "happy that we are "failing" (which we're not btw), then you obviously haven't read my posts.

You're the trolling one you cunt.

You ever call me a gooner again, I'll find out where you live, and slaughter you like a fucking pig, do you understand?

Good. Now shut the fuck up, before I end you, literally and figuratively. Stupid boy

Jesus christ, calm down you drama queen. Ramos had 2 points from 8 games!

Poch has just 4 wins in 15 games, 3 out of the bottom 5. One of those teams has just escaped relegation, one has 8 losses and a draw in 9 games, the other has just been relegated after a 6-0 spanking.

It's as easy to find holes in his record and credentials as it is to just say that he's showing signs of improving the team, he needs his players and so on.

He has to stay, he will hopefully be backed and all will genuinely come good but the guy really has no real track record of anything major whatsoever.

People piss take about Pulis, Pardew, Hughes, they all have a more appropriate and proven CV than him so we are still in the middle of yet another big gamble.

One progress debate that is far harmonious is the one at Southampton: 'have we progressed since Poch left?' YES!!!!

I agree, some things are getting annoying. Like the constant substitution of Soldado at ~60-70mins when we are trying to find a goal. I'd be interested to see the stats of how often that has actually worked, because I'd be willing to bet it's never.

However, like you say, he simply has to stay and be backed this summer.

Hypothetical question:

We're a goal down, sixty minutes into the game, the team is currently lined up as usual (4-2-3-1 : same starting eleven as usual). What do you do to change the game?

I will try 4-4-2 diamond. Ade/Soldado on with Eriksen behind. Rose/Townsend as real left winger, not sure what I do on the right since Lennon is not around. I will go with Yedlin as RW since he is more of an offensive player.

Actually, they haven't. If you didn't notice, they're results have nose-dived recently, like ours have.

I think our downturn is fatigue-based. I'm not sure that theirs isn't deliberate.

Bring on Paulinho?

We're not exactly bursting with power subs.

That's sort of my thinking with regards to the criticism towards bringing Soldado on, he's not changing games but I guess there's not much else you can do when your other attackers can't do anything either.

Be interested to see what other people can suggest, perhaps a formation change or something more extreme?

I think our players and Southampton's players have met up in a pub and it was a question of "you have the EL place". "No, no. Thanks anyway. But you take it". "No we don't want it either. We will lose a few games on purpose". "Fuck off. We will even lose to Villa and Stoke".

The major thing that I can think of involves the starting 11. Mason's form has nose-dived recently and he's been a bit of a liability. The Bentaleb/Mason pairing is just too young. Dembele needs to go back into the starting 11.

Eriksen's form has dipped and Kane is being tightly marked. We don't have enough danger-men apart from them to punish the opposition.

It's all on for summer. We need to see major transfer activity across the entire squad. Poch has had a full season to grow acquainted with his squad, and from the selections it looks like he lacks faith in a lot of them.

Personally, I'd like to try a 4-3-3 with Onomah in the 10 for Eriksen, and use Chadli as a substitute striker in place of Kane.

Or maybe even try a 3-5-2 with Onomah more forward than this:
[formation=352, Lloris, Dier, Fazio, Vertonghen, Lamela, Mason, Onomah, Bentaleb, Townsend, Kane, Chadli][/formation]

I agree on dropping Mason VirginiaSpur VirginiaSpur , for some reason or another his form has dropped off and I feel Bentaleb offers more to the game than Mason at this moment in time. Perhaps Stambouli should be introduced, bring some bite to the middle and I've always felt he has more to offer than we've seen.

Juicy Sushi Juicy Sushi I won't pretend to know much about Onomah, you'd think though Pochettino wouldn't hesitate to use him if he felt he was truly ready for first team football. Maybe it's still too early for him, or maybe he's not performing to the required standard in training yet either.

I think it could be both with Onomah. But with Eriksen so visibly fatigued, I can't see the harm since the results don't matter in the next two games.
