That's the equivalent or saying we'll move in for Carlton Cole if Luis Suarez says 'no'
Weird thing about that photo is this...
(unless I'm being to 'traditional')
Why would you go to, what is essentially an interview dressed quite scruffy with your two sons (looking like refugees).
For some reason I just don't "buy" this at all. I mean, would the club really have a guy selling the big issue at the security point? Not quite sure that the Poch has the biceps seen in that pic, either!

TOTTENHAM LATESTGod, I hope that's not true. Levy "most impressed by Poch's philosophy"? Isn't that exactly where we were with bloody AVB?
I swear, all a manager has to do to get the job at our club is pitch up with the right set of clichés about attacking football and building a project and Levy will give him the job. Plus, £3m a year - I think he's cheaper than any of our recent managers bar Sherwood if that is true. I think with FdB being a bigger name, Levy has settled for the easier appointment.
So underwhelming. I'm hoping I am pleasantly proved wrong with a barnstorming display from Poch, but this just stinks of another potential appointment of uncertainty and disappointment, with us right back here in 18 months.
I guess we'll have to wait and see. I just don't see why Levy can't just push the boat out though, just for once, and get a top of the line manager. A proven winner. He wants top four, but he's happy to give the job to one hit wonders (or "no hit" in the case of Weasel) three times in a row.
Oh well, no use fretting over it. At least I won't go into the season with an over inflated hope for good times - which, in one respect, may actually be a good thing.
What i'd expect to see under Pochettino:
LlorisAssuming we don't add to our current squad, this is how i'd expect Poch's team to line up next year (if he continues with his same ideas implemented at Soton):
Walker - Chiriches - Vertonghen - Rose
Sandro - Dembele
Lamela---------Eriksen-----------Gylfi
Ade
- Chiriches and Vertonghen are both very confident in possession, something Poch favours (Fonte and Lovren)
- Walker and Rose (if not new LB) are both very attack minded full backs, seen in both clyne/chambers and shaw last year.
- Sandro and Dembele seem to me like the most natural partnership for the deeper two, and were statistically the best midfield duo in Europe during AVBs first half a season in charge.
- Lamela is in there purely for the Argentinian connection, I have no idea whether or not he'll be preferred its just something i'd like to see happen.
- Eriksen is most suited for the Lallana role IMO, very similiar players with great dribbling ability and an eye for a pass (can also chip in with vital goals)
- Gylfi (or Chadli) could play in the Rodriguez pos i reckon, Gylfi is a proven goal scorer and a v.hard working player, something which will suit Poch's high pressing game.
- Ade (like Lambert) is able to hold up the ball better than any other of our forwards, allowing the attacking midfielders to work off him and offering an easy outlet.
Of course I have no idea how he'd set up if he does come, this is the closest I can get to his current Soton's side and style of play. Whether its him of FDB who comes in the end, I think its safe to say they should get our 100% backing from the get go, after all, the current chopping/changing of managers ATM isn't their fault, and neither has done anything not to warrant our full support
It also depends on who he will bring with him: I notice Shaw has delayed announcing if he is moving until after world cup, could also bring Lallana. What i'd expect to see under Pochettino:
