Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I know Andy Goldstein was waiting to say Spurs "bottled" it after last week not talking about the Spurs-Arse at all. He went mental when Tottenham were knocked out of Champs League last season, and as Ben pointed out earlier, you can't "bottle" something you never had.
It was a phoney race that Sky hyped up while they packed gooners in every Tottenham game covered and waited for the law of averages to finally catch us up. The refs were giving Hazard & Costa every dive they did, while Tottenham couldn't even get a genuine foul against them, it showed what an impossible task it was.

Worse than a gooner are media people like Goldstein & Adrain Durham who support the Arse on the quiet.

Well done Spurs if we get 2nd!! Great achievement considering all the facts!

Let the beloved media watch their beloved teams spend another billion on international players.

Pochettino and this team will get us titles. It will take time, but we will win.

If our 'rivals' seem to enjoy our first loss since months, then let them have it. I wouldn't enjoy watching Tottenham scrape draws at home. I don't want selfish players like Özil and Sanchez at Spurs. Our pressing system works against the small teams, not like at Liverpool. And we never were and never will be a club which spends 30 million on a foreign goalkeeper to replace the only loyal part the club has had left (Hart). Lastly, even if he had the financial power of a Russian billionaire, it wouldn't be the same feeling to win a title, and the same applies to the players. Our club has a new identity.

I can count myself lucky, I have not been supporting Spurs for that long, maybe for 6 - 7 years. And even in that period, we had alot of European football. There were far worse times than supposedly bottling a made up title race by the media. COYS

Just for a change today, we've had Sky trying to sell nearly all our players in the summer and an ex-palace chairman saying a reliable source has told him a 'significant number' of spurs players want out.

Why would a significant number of our players want out? Even if it's true, i suspect its players like Wimmer, Sissoko and (maybe) Lamela rather than Dele, Harry and Kyle.

On the Sunday Supplement they spoke for a few minutes about how poor we were in the Champions League......and then spoke for another few minutes about how our poor Champions League form was being air brushed from history and is never spoken about.

Yeah, that and speculating about how many players would potentially leave if we don't up wages and break our pay structure. They don't even acknowledge that we're punching above our weight compared to the financially doped clubs. No recognition about the fact that for two seasons running we have been the only credible challengers and that neither Leicester or the Chavs had the distraction of Eurpoean football.
Time for the media to have the balls to recognise that it is not Spurs that have bottled it (at no point was it in our hands) but the likes of United, Citeh, Bindippers and Woolwich.

It seems like they confuse them writing stories about other teams wanting to poach our manager and players as praise - otherwise I'm at a loss as to why them keep on saying "I know we've praised Tottenham and Pochettino enough already this season".

On that note - have we actually been top of the table at any point (including early in the season) in the last two years?

I seem to recall we were top after matchday 3/4 in the last season where Chelsea won the league. That's been it.

I remember that being a topic of heated debate about Commentators letting their guard slip at crucial moments!
There's not one shred of excitement conveyed about us winning that game... only sheer (but you have to say honest) disbelief that (I assume) his team had lost!

Shame... coulda done with a similar ending last night, eh?
Same with Tyler and that obnoxious Jock Gray. The disappointment in their voices. Very professional.

The only reason we are talked about is because we are relevant.. If we were nobodies such as Hull. Bournemouth, West Ham we would not be spoken as they are irrelevant.

It's due to our success and the fact that we are making todays game against Woolwich and Man utd a race for top 4 and not the league title.

We've broken Sky and the media.

Players come and go and it is normal in football

when we sell "significant" number of players then I am sure the club will bring in "more significant" players as replacement

what is important to me is how Levy and Poch handle the transition when it happened

How this is going to play out...

News: "Fire-Sale at Spurs as Levy is Unable to Balance the Books!" "Alderweireld's Demands Spur Move to City"
Media ITK: "Hot-Shots Unhappy With Skimpy Wages" "Ambitious Stars Demand Silverware" "Pochettino Loses Dressing Room"

Reality: Wimmer, Sissoko, Nkoudou, Onomah sold, replaced. Alderweireld pens new 4-year deal.

Go on media. Talk about Liverpool potentially 'bottling' top 4 in tomorrow's back pages. You know, that club which was once actually at the top of the table and their captain literally slipped over to fuck up winning the league.

I fucking dare you.

It was a headline waiting to happen, whoever we lost against the bottle line would have been used.

How you can bottle it after winning your last 9 is laughable it's so ridiculous.

Majority of Spanners are so thick they believe what they read, the ones that can read that is.

> Liverpool drop points at home against Southampton.
> United play immediately afterwards and have the chance to boost their top 4 hopes while putting Woolwich in their dust.
> Fuck it up massively.

Let's just patiently wait to see how this is covered...

Any mention of Utd bottling it ? Expect not coz the press will say they are concentrating on winning the EL and they love them - deluded fuckwits ! Bindippers bottled it today yet again but lets see how the press report that one - probably loads of excuses.
Woolwich desperately trying to secure 4th now they haven't got a way to duck out of the Europa League due to their FA cup appearance (they're assuming Chavs win PL). Personally I would love them playing EL - been a long time coming and hopefully it will fuck em big time !
