Not sure we should change our system just to accommodate one players dodgy hamstrings.

He had hamstring issues whilst playing in Germany.

He was playing LB last night, that’s a position where you will always be asked to get up and down the pitch. Recovery runs are part of the game.
Yes, in hindsight would've been better if Udogie had started on the left. And if Micky is injured it limits our ability to play the high line anyway.

Ange has to start doing a better job managing Micky’s minutes. It’s become a necessity. If that means starting Dragusin in some PL games even when VdV is “healthy” then so be it. You don’t only buy cover for when a player is injured but also to prevent injury-causing fatigue. He’s played a lot of minutes this season and it was only a matter of time.

If he had dropped Micky for the Palace game and played Dragusin instead he would have got even more pelters with people saying we lost because we rested VDV

Let's friggin pray it's nothing serious and he only misses Villa, but I fear it'll be 4 to 6 weeks. Kinda thankful there's one of them uber annoying Nations League breaks coming up.

Sadly, I also think the next one will always be just around the corner with VdV. It's just his body and the added stress our wtf way of defending puts on it.

Just gotta hope the kid does a Varane, who learned how to transform his game after a big injury as a young pro and still turned into an elite defender.
We could have really used him against the pace of Watkins and Bailey. If Ange will only let Davies sit deep to help compensate for his lack of recovery pace at LB, we should be able to adjust and provide steady enough defense.

Hope his commentary on Insta is correct. Such a great player when he's healthy.

Be good to start Drag when we know we’ll be under heavy attack and have to sit deeper anyway. The guy is class at proper defending.

Yeah I remember Sarr crying as he went off against Bournemouth last season as he thought he would miss the AFCON - think he was playing 10 days later.

My guess is that we won’t risk Micky now until after the international break
Lets also hope that AP dose'nt continue with the high line without Mickey. I'm hoping there might be a silver lining in Mickey's injury, that being we sit 3-4 yards deeper and we see from this more controlled performances which will then continue when VDV returns.
