we cant go with archie gray and dragusin until one of romero, davies or VDV is fit again, which sounds like the new year. we'll get destroyed in the league and league cup

shouldn't the club recall ashley phillips, it's kind of an emergency situation, the incompetence of that summer window. Yeah we saved a few bucks on wages but at what cost.

The mental thing is, exactly the same thing happened this time last season. Injuries and suspensions all over the place.

Knowing Levy and the board they’d have thought lightning wont strike twice rather than properly planning for a long season.
Happened under Jose as well. That was probably the worst injury crisis of the lot. It's a feature, not a bug at this club.

The thing is, they want to hire a coach who plays with the intensity required to win in the Prem but they don't want to give him the squad to handle that intensity. Ange isn't asking for more intensity than Pep at City, or Klopp at Liverpool, tbh he's probably not even more intense than Conte when it comes to training.

I mean decent proativeness would identify that the single biggest reason (outside of the fact we have no defensive tactical shape) we fucked last season was masses of disruption to our first 11 in the middle third of the campaign. We lost Madders, Udogie, Micky and Romero for most of that, with Udogie also missing the last quarter of the season with a new injury.

You would ensure you have able deputies, if not like for like replacements.

We could be playing almost 50% more games; and the squad didn’t cope last year. And they thought one senior player and a bunch of kids was the one?

Hasn’t Ange said these injuries happen in the first season under him then winning something in his second. Well Ange the injuries are happening again in the second season under you so does that mean the trophies will come next year?

Not allowed apparently.

He’s basically signed his own p45 with that team selection Sunday.

the medical staff would have a cleared the players to play, as well as the players declaring themselves fit to play. both Centre backs came off with injuries untreated to their previous

Under pressure from the manager probably. Physios and medical departments are under constant pressure at all clubs to sign players off. It’s gone on since the start of the game. It isn’t unreasonable to assume it has happened here with a manager under pressure.

Left to their own devices; any med or doctor will always err on the side of caution..... They've absolutely no reason not to.

The human body is an interconnected organism; the fatigue/strain caused by any injury makes other parts, not obviously related, more susceptible to break down as the system is working harder to sustain/repair another part of the body.

The decision to play both of them will lead to him getting the sack now. It’s obvious. Dragusin must be running on fumes, Udogie will be next after have no real rest since his operation in the summer and it looks like Dorrington or whoever won’t be trusted.

I bet VDV is out longer than 2-3 weeks too. If he comes back again too early and does it again, he will be in a world of trouble. They won’t risk that.
Apparently we have a recall clause in Ashley Philips’ loan deal.

We need a left centrebacks/left back in as soon as the window opens not have Levy waiting for weeks to try to save a few quid.

He will though wont he, no chance we get one in until the end of the window if at all. It will be left as late as possible so that romero and vdv recover then we wont have to spend any money.

We only need to look back to the January window under Mourinho where we desperately needed a striker and didnt get one in.

Yeah. This is something that really got nailed home to me when I started training grappling. If you have back problems (like I've had), you also need to work on your core. Because the core stabilises the back and vice-versa. If you hurt your back your core muscles will have to compensate until the back is fit again.

The body is a chain that needs to be as overall well maintained as possible so it can support whichever link ends up being the weakest.

One would expect our med team to know this kind of physio........

100%. It's obvious to any amateur who does any moderate-high level of physical activity.
