Player Micky van de Ven

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He didn't return ahead of schedule against Chelsea. It was actually at least a week after the initial prognosis.

The issue was he was meant to play 60mins and after Romero got injured Ange left him on longer and he pulled up.

Doesn't change the question for this time. When do people think is the right time to play him? And how are they so sure they know?

Also, VDV and Romero were always "the back end of January" according to Ange. I make it the 28th of January, why are you saying he is returning ahead of schedule again?

If Dragusin and Davies are ok its more likely they start and if Van de Ven is ok to play maybe sub for last 20/30 mins

Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven is not expected to return from a hamstring injury until the middle of December
Chelsea was 8 Dec

Chelsea was 8 Dec

Ange said this for the first prognosis (November 11th):

International break was 11th - 19th November

Then after that they were very coy with actual quotes or committing to a return time.

This time:

“Van de Ven and Romero are still chugging along. I think both will be in the new year.

"Not as significant injury as last time with Micky, but obviously having a setback, the medical team is going to make sure he is right to go. So both of them in the new year at some point."

They have clearly been extra careful with him even if it was nothing serious..

So, same question. When do you think is the right time to play him?
