Player Micky van de Ven

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Romero wants out, he will be gone soon, Richy will go probably in the summer, leaves VDV.

We have several players that are fragile. Some of them we can sell, with Micky the club really need to get specialists to look at his biomechanics and come up with a fitness plan to build his muscles in a way that will limit this problem. He had a bad hammy injury before he came to us, he is always going to be prone to it even if more prone playing a high line.

Kane used to get ankle injuries all the time but apparently made changes which stopped them. VDV and the club will need to look at him and change his development.

Where would Richarlison feasibly go?.....

He refuses the Saudi league and no serious football team is going to sign him with his injury record

Some players just have horror runs with injury, and a season or two later they seem to overcome them. Often for no apparent reason or rhyme. Let's just hope that when we see VDV back again it's for an extended period. It seems the medical team are taking all precautions now.

Shithouse? Not really culpable if his hamstring is snapping. That’s not his fault.

He’s not a doctor either, he can’t fix it himself. If he’s following the rehab the club lay down for him, the onus is on them to get him right.

Think players also need to own their habits.

Not saying VDV doesn’t have elite habits but the elite players just don’t get hurt,

They know their body, the sleep like a machine, eat meticulously and spend huge money on their own recovery protocols on top of what the club prescribes.

It IS a matter of how bad the player wants it too.
