Good performance, he was never going to be able to do what he did against Burnley against Man city but it was solid.

He was a good outlet and helped relieve pressure and retain the ball. Definitely one of the reasons why we were able to be so comfortable.

I was sceptical of the signing. Flat out didn’t want him tbh. He has been excellent and made me look clueless tbh. The thing that’s surprised me is how hard he’s working off the ball.

Wasnt as good as PSG and Burnley but still a physical presence that demands attention. Came back and won the ball in the right back position too.

Great start

The ball gets glued to his feet like almost no other. Dembele-esque.

His decision making can certainly improve though. He sometimes loses sight of the passing options in front of him, getting bogged down in rather fruitless sequences of dribbling instead.

He's always trying to progress the ball which is great but sometimes that pass isn't on and he tries to force it leading us to turn it over. Luckily it didn't matter today. Still a solid performance from him.

really glad how wrong i was about him

He looks robust and durable; players bounce off him.

But somehow we have to find a way to manage him and keep him fit.

Can't afford to lose him for long spells.

So important for us.
