Dannyboy Dannyboy couple of issues with this... They are just lining some fans pocket who came up with the idea. If he is making in bulk he is probably getting a tenner per shirt sold...

Newcaslte have spent Net £35million this window so far... Last season they spent £17.2million net...

Maybe Mike Ashley has turned a corner? He seems to be investing (Or at least not taking money) recently...

Was there a corner to turn? Ashley has been pumping cash into them for years. £129m still owed to him, I believe. They were £75m in debt when he took over, so surely can't have expected him to spunk £50m a year on transfers?

What is Newcastle fans issue with him them if he is throwing his cash about? I was under the impression they hated him for the opposite of that?

They hate him because he isn't breaking the transfer record every ten minutes. Like some in here, they don't take into account the cost involved in running a club that size.

Paying the salary of office workers, canteen employees etc isn't as sexy as buying Alan Shearer, but still needs done. And look what happened when they did things like buy Shearer - £75m in debt.

Looking at this their net spend is very competitive. Especially considering they spent a season in the championship recently:

1 Manchester United £405,200,000 £121,600,000 £283,600,000 £56,720,000
2 Manchester City £385,700,000 £150,300,000 £235,400,000 £47,080,000
4 Liverpool £349,000,000 £173,370,000 £175,630,000 £35,126,000
3 Chelsea £416,509,000 £241,450,000 £175,059,000 £35,011,800
5 Woolwich £253,625,000 £154,600,000 £99,025,000 £19,805,000
6 West Ham £106,900,000 £16,500,000 £90,400,000 £18,080,000
7 Newcastle £123,700,000 £66,100,000 £57,600,000 £11,520,000

Bunch of whinging cunts.

And he paid £135m to buy them. Plus £129m in total debt. Plus all those transfer outgoings.

Their fans are worse than ours.

Know what, they could compete with the big boys if they raised their ticket prices. They have a 52k stadium yet one of the cheapest ST in the EPL and their most expensive ticket last year was less than Us, Spam, QPR, Woolwich, Liverpool and the two Mancs. On a par with Southampton.
Really, they have not done too bad there, the fans. If they want to attract better players they need to pay the wage bill.
However, they would go fucking mad and nobody would turn up probably.

Can't raise the ticket prices as the average wage in that area is about £9.12 per annum.

I hate Newcastle.

Best fans in the country? Because you take your top of in the depths of winter doesn't make you a better fan, it makes you a moron.

Disagree strongly. I'm not saying that they are best fans in the country but I'd take a Geordie over a chav, manc, Cardiff, Coventry, mill wall fan any day.

It's a one club city. They are passionate and deserve better.

One of the games that win, loose or draw when you leave the stadium you always feel it's best to keep your nut down. Never seen any trouble but there is always an edge........I like it.
I'm always still too fucking knackered after the stairs before the match to give a fuck about what happens after!

In short - Newcastle fans are idiots.

They want a Geordie owner, with a Geordie manager, breaking the transfer record every window - but they don't want to pay more for tickets, they want a local company to sponsor the team (not the most lucrative deal possible), they don't want money from any other sponsorship like naming rights, and they won't accept any player being sold against their wishes.
