Maybe i'm in the minority, but I want Paratici to stay if he can focus on finding more players like Sarr and Undogie.

He would make a good combo with a project manager.
I’m not so sure, his managerial targets have been alarming and his recruitment seems to be scattergun and based around connections. I don’t see a clear vision for the team and reports around the Fonseca deal indicated that he favours Conte/Mourinho style pragmatism over attacking football. Doesn’t seem to be a good fit for what most of the fans here want.

What in the fuck are they waiting for???

The guy had Messi Suarez Neymar up front and Barcelona’s youth system to work with. What examples do you have about not needing backing and using youth players.

Poch had Eriksen Dembele Toby Jan Kane Son & prime Dele and won nothing with us. You can use any logic to fight an argument.

He gave more debuts in 3 years at Barca than Poch did in 5 years here.

What examples do you have about him NEEDING backing?

Fair enough but I’d rather then they just sideline him a bit.

He has been to a large extent..... Would be practical enough to pick his brains over certain things though; even if he was to remain hands-off in the interim. Similarly, he could well be entrusted with some of the liasing between club, agents etc.

If he runs the manager search and it all goes tits up while then getting kicked out it will be another error.

..............I very much doubt that Levy will be affording him primary autonomy over the big question of "who" it will be though.

Yes; I share the broader concern though.... I just made a post saying the DOF situ is a bigger/broader worry for me. Even if the new gaffa is Poch, a tug of war between him & Levy every trf window would be like a return to the dark ages (and a virtual guarantee of shit recruitment).

Maybe best giving it to Mason for a few games till the appeal is done and he is gone.

I feel you are right tbh..... To me last weekend was the death-knell for top 4 so all that remains is damage limitation; so if we can stem the tide with Mason until after the Everton game, then we can approach our next step(s) with a far clearer vision.

.....I think anyone that is sneering at Mason and chatting crap about "Mason's mates" is being incredibly small-minded.

Take any emotion out of the choice

He is available, uses youth players, doesn't take shit from players, plays forward thinking, fits some of our players and clear club targets & is a big name within football

For me I loved Poch but the thought of him coming here with his choice in transfers and the fact players that let him down are still here isn't great. If he came in sure we would have another season of Lloris as first choice blundering in.

His only real success was Barca which is a club that is always backed and not comparable to spurs. Taking a club from 17th to 9th is decent but nothing special. He likely only got the Barca job due to being an ex player and managing Barca B.

He might be a good fit here but I just don’t see enough.

My hope is that Gabanini (our head of player scouting under Paratici) will turn out to be the real talent spotter and Fabio leaving won't impact that part too much.

The backroom staff aren't going to leave with Fab like Conte's coaching staff will with him.

No, but much the same; the same tentacles with a different head may not actually function the same way.

The whole thing bothers me maybe more than the immediate manager search.

I am not in love with poch or anything. I am just not convinced by Luis Enrique.

Firstly he wants his teams to have possession of the football, which I haven’t seen us have in about 4 years. Is high profile enough to demand respect from his players and attract players to want to play under him. Did incredible work at barca who haven’t reached near such heights since he left, did very well at Vigo which is what got him the barca job in the first place, taking them from 17th to 9th.

I just want a dramatic shift in the way we play football and Luis Enrique will bring that, it’s a massive risk but so is pretty much anyone else

What was the "incredible" aspect of his Barca that wasn't essentially already in pace thanks to the previous crew of Pep and co? .....Wasn't it also around this time that they started making bad signings like Coutinho, Dembele & Griezeman? I'd wonder how close he was to those decisions......

(Genuine question; I don't get that up close to La Liga.)
