Romantic built utterly ridiculous
I mean the job is very demoralising for managers, every manager we've had has been let down by ENIC when they wanted to build the side bigger and better. Managers can't break through the glass ceiling. ENIC want to keep the spending low, they want club signings and youth to be brought through.I think a way of doing is to promote from within, you have two guys who love the club and you know they will give their all. Of course it means we'll have to forget about top 4 for a while but we'd have to do that anyway. We have to be realistic about what our level really is.

I not here to defend ENIC, the club has spent a lot of money, its mostly been wasted GLC, Ndombele,Janseen, GKN, Spence (good one never used)
its the persons who is buying/advicing the club to get these players that is the problem

Based on the fact that NO-ONE had answered my uestion about what type of football Pochettino served up when coaching PSG I must admit I'm a bit surprised that he got 98 wotes here, 98 people willing to take a chance on getting get the fucking midfield diamond back. Woting for the Poch cult, forgotten about his last year. Here.

In my opinion and based on the players we have, he can't play the pressing football he started up with here and still keep Kane and Son in the team. So a wote for Pochettino is a wote for the midfield Diamond. Or?

So the 14 players costing £192M that Conte got was letting Conte down. Not playing the players he got, what was that?

I don’t think Nagelsmann fancies the job though. I can see us pushing hard for De Zerbi or Amorim. Personally though I think it’s mad Poch isn’t already in the hot seat. Unfortunately though it looks massively unlikely we want him. Ultimately though I’m a bit beyond caring. Levy won’t support him with what he needs whoever he is and he’ll be fighting with one hand behind his back like usual.
The boys on Tottenham tv are saying he wants to come back, levy is open to it but some nobody Cullen on the busts who prbly knows f all is opposed abd orby patarici as well. If we miss out getting poch bcos of those two then they really need to sack the board and Pat and fuck off. We could have got him in place for the last 10 games I’m sure he would have come. Assess the situation and then plan ahead. Sounds simple but we have people at the club dragging us down.

That was him not wanting 'club signings' anyone can see more money needs to be spent to make us a quality side, we spent 130m on only 3 players, we finally added another striker after trying to add one for about 5 or 6 years.

Agree to an extent. It doesn’t mean that the level is top half and a sigh of relief though. I’d take consistently knocking on the CL door for two seasons (is twice consistent??) if the new team were able to build a formation, an ethos and a way of playing that actually was our DNA instead of the Harrods hamper full of Lidl cheese we’ve been putting up with recently.

I don't really think that the Spurs job is that more cursed than any other "limited" club. Managers at tons of clubs eventually feel like they are limited in their ambitions by the club for some reason or another.

We are just very high profile and actually looked close to shattering the glass ceiling for a bit. So we stick out.

Anyone who fails to recognise the damage Conte and his God awful system did to us in favour of ripping into Levy and ENIC fails to see the facts.

Stellini should do one thing between now and the end of this wretched season, and that is to ditch to the wastelands the most incompetent and useless way of playing I have ever seen, for players who are so unsuited to it.

Then maybe next season we will find a manager who plays to the players' strengths.

One can only hope and pray.

If you didn't call for Conte's head then I accept that but it wasn't good enough for the board and many of the fans.

Ridiculous isn’t it ? So many silly names being banded about before Poch.

Cooper, Emery, Potter, Rodgers et al.

Kompany and Carrick may have potential but have less than a year’s experience.
From my point of view, if Poch and Nagelsmann aren't coming, Rogers is the best of the rest. Sadly, it feels like neither of Poch or Negelsmann are coming.

Advocating for Potter is insane, he was utterly awful at Chelsea from start to finish. The team he left is considerably better since he left. The team before (Swansea) were better when Steve Cooper took over. He is not as good as people think he is.

Kompany and Carrick are too inexperienced.

Slot - honestly, he could be wonderful, or he could be gone inside 10 game. He's as much of a punt as taking a woman on from the WSL. And no, that's not a good idea either.
