Nagelsmann is right there in Germany doing nothing but watching cartoons and eating cornflakes. There should be no other candidates

He's as high profile and highly regarded like Jose and conte, but he plays attacking football unlike them, is young, improves players, likes a project and has big club/big league experience

I mean surely a club the size of spurs uses every bit of it's financial muscle to tie him down To a long term contract, take his advice and let him got on with it

The mind boggles at how this club is run, it really does
They don’t show cartoons in Germany as their kids are brought up to have no sense of humour. It’s similar in nearly all of the Arab states. None of them except one are allowed to show the Flintstones on their national television stations. None of them show it but ABU DHABI DO.

The fascination with the managers age is a bit odd. Why does the manager need to be young?

In the EPL, only 5 of the current managers have been at their club for longer than 2 years (Moyes, Arteta, Frank, Klopp & Guardiola). Klopp is the longest with 7.5 years.

SAF managing for 20+ years is not something I can see being replicated any time soon.

I think it is because we have had a slew of managers breaking through at younger ages recently.
Pep, Klopp, Inzaghi, even Conte and especially Nagelsmann have all scewered the expectation of when you are expected to take on a first team in a big league for some people.

Ferguson was bloody 44 when he took over at United. It took Sarri 25 years to get the Napoli job. And he was 56 at the time.

Not another chelsea cast off.
Fucking embarrassing that we keep lifting our skirts at their rejects. It’s not ended well for us with any of them.
Fuck that shit. I’d rather the Aussie/Greek fella from Scotland.

Guys like Slot and De Zerbi would have excited me more, but said ages ago, Nagelsmann and Potter would probably be the smartest, evolutionary, choices. And of the two, Potter would probably be the most symbiotic and least problematic.

I'd be happy with either. Really happy with Potter, as long as we give them both time. We are in a mess and it won't be a 5 minute fix.

If it's Nagelsmann great.
If not give me Ange ( yes Im biased but I have followed his career from Aus to Japan closely ), ahead of Potter.

Mind you , i am sceptical that JN is in the picture at all. We will end up with a Potter/Rodgers.

So is Phillip Schofield.

Apparently expert at coming from behind.
Tell me more!

Potter looked like a man who had given up on life by the end of his time at Chelsea. He hasn’t got the personality to take on the rebuild we’re going through.

The longer the search goes on, the more chance someone like Rodgers or Potter gets the job. We need to avoid this at all costs. This is a generic and boring appointment that would be made out of a quest for stability. When really we need to rock the boat hard

The Celtic Aussie is a better choice than the above, although considering Nagelsmann and Slot are out, a bit of a let down. I would also throw in Carrick and Xabi Alonso as people who should be considered.
