still don't know why Conte would sign a long term contract. Whilst the project is moving forward and the club are happy he will stay.
Only a manager worried about being discovered a fraud would be interested in signing a long-term deal. Or one hoping to take us for loads of money. I think it keeps both parties on their toes. It's just something us fans have to get used too.
I'm not sure why he would jump now and go to Juve? He's 75% through the project now. Two more transfer windows and we will hopefully start winning things, that only next summer guys... Imagine the legend status if this happens.

Yeah, Conte is a winner (5 titles as a player, 5 as a manager). I realise it upsets some of our fans but he's not going to commit to Tottenham out of some emotional connection but because he believes he will be given the resources to win. Some long commitment and then ENIC pleading poverty is pointless.

Yup agreed, it seems like Levy only understand Brinksmanship in the way he does business so it's only right that Conte uses exactly the same method as them, can't be signing those 4-5 year contracts with Levy because we all know what he's like when he gives out those long contracts.
I could see Levy being wary of sacking coaches on long term deals and the big amount of dead money that comes from that and having a deal something along the line of paying Conte a very high salary in exchange for keeping the salary short term to avoid a payout.
