Poch is on ice waiting for this job and tbh its who I want back. Heard rumours were looking at benfica coach but for me it has to be poch. Unless of course conte stays. Either way it has to be sorted in world cup break.

poch would be a proper spursy appointment. the bloke didnt even win the french league with PSG one year. thats the most spursy thing in history. would probably bring winks back and plonk him in midfield again.

He took mid-season when they were already behind LOSC. The fact that he didn't win anything with us and that squad is more disturbing than that he didn't win that title with PSG.

If Conte goes (hopefully not), then Poch is the obvious choice. Loves the club, plays beautiful football, is a great manager (not among the very best like Conte is though, unfortunately).

Sometimes, actually quite often, I'm embarrassed to be a part of a group that call themselves fans of the same team.

If you enjoy mid table mediocrity follow some one like Charlton or Brighton. not gonna win much, Not gonna go down. Play OK football. Lose as much as they win if not more.
If you want world class winning football, played in champagne style, there's 1 or 2 clubs in the world to follow and they ain't Spurs,
If you want to watch a team that is trying, hard, to compete, but is coming from a position of weakness and needs some time to get there, then stop fucking moaning about Conte. He's fighting with one hand behind his back and he's putting up a decent fight.

I’m not convinced. Loved the majority of his work at Spurs, but the tail off, towing the company line with that bald bastard bean counter and lack of success at PSG concerns me

Poch's forte was, is and always will be working with young players who buy every word he says and do everything he tells them to do. No ego's and usually not even very famous.
That's wasn't us by the time he left, that wasn't PSG and it's not us now.

Not saying i want him back because i never think its a good idea but Spence, Udogie, Romero, Bentancur, Skipp, Bissouma, Kulusevski, Richarlison, maybe Gil would all be good Poch players. Young, not much in the way of ego, good work ethic. We'd need more youth and energy up front and a new keeper but feel those things are coming in the next 2 windows regardless of manager.

Lloris, Dier, Davies, PEH, Son, Kane, Moura
A) they all let him down before
B) they're all still here
C) they're all older, slower and probably less willing

Not sure the fans would take too well to Son and Kane being sold off. Well, the ones who don't live almost entirely online.

Lloris, Dier Sanchez, Moura need to go in the summer. Son and Kane who knows. The latter will have 12 months left on his contract so we might not have a choice. Son will be 31, last chance to get reasonable money for him.

Poch started with a blank page with us and got us to the cusp of winning the champions league. Entertaining sublime football, academy players pushing places for 1st team. Was a well oiled machine. Levy made a mistake firing him and tbh let him hang him out to dry. That aside conte will stay into but always think he can walk any minute.

We are in the middle ground, not going to be able to win anything, but won't go down either so kind of stuck.

you feel it was a mistake sacking him? the vibe was well wrong, you could sense it was doomed. you know when the manager is done, we was not only losing but had no fight in games. he had spursy written on his forehead. we got lucky in the champions league, lucky vertonghen got an injury in the game against ajax and he got sissoko on as we was getting overrun in midfield, if it wasnt for that we would of been dead after the first tie, lucas having the game of his life in the second leg wouldnt of mattered. we came third in a two horse race ffs. weakest you'll ever see the league, we had the best team/14 weve had in premier league history and we still finished behind them cunts down the road.

the fact hes then gone onto PSG and not even managed to win a 1 club league with that squad, he is a laughing stock. the reason he cried after the ajax game is because he couldnt believe his luck, got fortunate with a player getting injured in the first leg and had a player play a once in a lifetime game in the second...he then dropped the player who would of been on cloud 9 for the final for an injured player! yes lucas is not the greatest but to do that was criminal, youve got a player whos buzzing so hard and you dont use it.

he also made us suffer with harry winks and for that alone hes a massive no no

Sure, it was brilliant 👏 👌
As long as you flat out ignore all the times it wasn't. He ultimately got out of jail getting to the final of the CL. We were out so many fucking times it's actually daft we got there when you think about it. About 3 times in the group stages we were dead and buried and needed late goals. Needed a VAR offside against City, needed 3 goals in the last quarter of a 2 legged match. To say we "nearly won it" is a bit of a falicy.
And he left us in an awful state. He looked fed up and done. Absolutely nobody should be of the opinion he should have been given more time.

The middle ground is Palace, Brighton, Brentford, Villa etc. Not going down, not winning anything, not troubling even the Uefa Cup spots let alone Champions League. Absolutely nothing to play for from week 1 to week 38.
