He's not shit, look beyond face value and you'll find a really good counter pressing game with some really nice build up. He's also managed to implement it across many different teams, including the Australian national team. There's a reason that there's more hype for him than there was for Gerrard and Lennon despite them also winning the SPFL. Of course there's question marks as to whether he can implement it in a top 5 league but his teams are very impressive without a doubt.
Fuck me no! The Aussie national team play in world cup qualifying version of the spf, an the Aussie league is rotten, though still more competitive than Scotland. Any idiot can win the league with either old firm team in Scotland, it's almost delusional to think otherwise. The fact he plays more attractive football than Lennon or Gerrard is irrelevant. He has players in his squad who make more a week than the entirety of the opposition they play against on any given Saturday. If you have a squad worth 20 times the opposition in 10 out of every 11 games in the league, I'm afraid you ain't impressing anyone by winning the league. Ps there is no hype about him apart from with Celtic fans and they are more full of shit than just about anyone.

Lost his job and girlfriend all in the same few days. Hope he doesn’t turn up to Spurs like this

Why do so many people hate PEH? Always plays hard, puts in a good shift, doesnt make too many mistakes. I dont get it
He’s ok. But some think he’s a top player at the club and if we are satisfied with a player of his quality being a top player, then we will continue on this path to eternal mediocrity.

He’s super durable, so would be an ideal 3rd CM, but we seem to look at him as undroppable and unless he has a super star next to him, we’ll never be good enough at CM with him.

For me
1) he’s not a progressive CM. He plays backwards under no pressure or sometimes after we’ve broken the press. Both Bentancur and Skipp are better passers. He rarely turns with the ball as he’s not a good dribbler. PEH plays a great pass every now and then but it’s not consistent.
2) Combine that with him not being a great defensive mid. He’s decent but he gets run by too often, especially off the ball. So many times he’s just jogging back letting the attacking mids run right past him.
3) he’s terrible with the ball on the counter and we’ve seen him constantly blame others when he makes the wrong choice. Credit that he has the engine to get forward.

So you basically have a CM that is average going forward, average defensively, good engine, poor technically, not brave. Basically he’s a better version of winks.

Poor bastard naglesmann. Gets sacked twice within a few days both by bayern then his missus. Still a very young manager. Probably needs a few days to chill and wonder wtf. Change of country and move to north london I recommend. Tbh bit disappointed what I've been reading about poch. Been crying out to come back but holding out for real madrid been reading. No time for bollox.

Really good coach, teams play good football and win too. He’s about to win the Dutch league with Feynoord, and did a similar job with AZ.

So? Why not go for the coach of the Danish Champions then? Or the Irish Premier League or whatever it's called?

Isn't this just a hipster thing? Pluck some random name out of the hat and say, yeah, he's the one for us.

I'd rather we go for managers that play good football and are proven on the PL like Marco Silva or RDZ. Slot might be good enough for a top Championship club or team lower in the PL but I 100% guarantee an appointment like that would have all of our 'top' players calling their agents to get them out of our club.

Ten Haag didn't get his reputation from winning the Dutch league BUT from his achievements in Europe. Come back to Slot if and when he reaches a EL Final or CL semi-final.

It's more to do with the fact that he was able to bring his ethos across multiple jobs, regardless of the quality of players available to him, showing that he can coach his style. This style of counter pressing football is effective these days, and would be suited to the premier league. He has implemented qualities in his teams that makes him an interesting choice, look beyond the quality of the league and more at his coaching and tactics, with better players at his disposal his style has a high ceiling. I’d be willing to bet he’s high up Brightons list of potential de Zerbi replacements, and he’ll be much more of success in the prem than Gerrard.

Will he even be in a hurry to sign for us? He will still be on Bayern's payroll till he gets a job. Gets fired from his dream bayern job and has a break up. After all this, what sane man will go, "Right, gotta sort out the slipping top 4 situation at Spurs and try to hammer in attacking patterns into a squad drilled by two defense oriented managers asap". He will probably join in the summer and we will be playing Europa T_T

Not sure what achievements in Europe you're talking about. He made it to the semis the same year we did and only one other time, last year, made it out of the group stages where he lost in the round of 16. His first year he didn't even manage to make it to the EL group stage. He's never made a European final. That was Peter Bosz the year before ETH took over.

So, yeah...

Oh right, thought he was manager there when they did. My mistake.

In that run to the last four they knocked out both Juve and Real Madrid and let's be honest should have beaten us as well. His profile was very high

Still, don't want some Slot guy as manager. That's the type of appointment that could see us relegated.

I'd rather have Southgate.
