Most probably Kane would be happy becoz he's leaving for Real M. or PSG or Bayern anyway :D;)

Alasdair Gold has suggested that the Tottenham Hotspur players and Harry Kane would be ‘very happy’ for Ryan Mason to be their next manager.

Unless the majority of Man City's players - for whatever reason - get ruled out for the season or Man City gets 30 points deducted (or relegated) do you seriously believe Kane believes Spurs can challenge Man City for EPL title next season....?
And then: do you really believe Kane believes so, too?
Why not?

Woolwich had a decent run at the title this year. Is their squad better than ours? Without the benefit of hindsight, who looks better?

Kane or Jesus
Son or Saka
Kulusevski or Odegard
Bissouma or Party
Romero or Saliba
Porro or Martinelli
Royal or White
Holjberg or Jorginio
Skipp or Smith rowe
Bentencaur or Xacka
Davies or Tierny
Lloris or Ramsdale
Dier or Gabriel
Richarlison or Nkedia
Danjuma or Trossard

Kane , Bentancur and poss an average Richarlison , which says more about Nketia than Richarlison.
I think Bissouma will hopefully show his true self next season and hopefully Son as well .
I make that 3 out of 15 on last year and hopefully 5 out of 15 next season. Kills me to say it but some of the comparisons on last season are not even close .

Kane and Bentancur miles better

Odegaard , Saliba , Martinelli, ( Ramsdale to recent Lioris) Gabriel are miles better and they shade the rest

Please stop making me say positive things about Woolwich by writing such twaddle

Feel dirty , so ok I will pretend all 15 of ours are better than their 15

Fully believe Kane wants Mason, they are best mates and came through the academy.
The club means the same thing to both of them.

That’s not enough reason to appoint Mason yet, though. We needed to beat Villa and Brentford for him to have a chance.

He said "without the benefit of hindsight".

I very much doubt anyone would have put Saliba over Romero at the start of last season, and maybe not even for parts of this season given Romero was at the heart of a World Cup winning defence.

At the start of the season I don't think more than 3 or 4 Gooner players would have made our starting XI. Another comparison would be Leicester in their title winning side. That wasn't a team of megastars - it had 3 or 4 top quality players but found a system and counter-attacking tactic that worked for them.

Go back to the start of this season and you'll find more than a few people on here who were whispering that maybe, just maybe we'd have a shot at the title under Conte with pretty much the same squad we still have now. Do I think we'll challenge for the title next season? No - it's obviously very unlikely, but we are maybe closer than the 2nd half of this season suggested.

I don't see it like that.

You don't need 11/16 fantastically talented players as opposed to getting 11/16 players who obviously are very good at what they do, to play at their optimum.

Conte failed to do that and then deflected and defected and good riddance.

Now the future...???
Conte succeeded more than Poch and Mourinho, if you take the point from about January 2019 when it went down the pan for Poch. Conte took largely the same players and got them higher in the league, taking more PPG, conceding less goals and looking like the days before January 2019 (other than the eye test)
And then he lost interest because he figured out the players couldn't possibly maintain it.
Everything Conte said after Southampton was true. Even if we didn't concede a penalty in injury time to drop 2 points, we were clinging on for dear life at 3-1 up against the side than finished bottom of the league. The majority of the squad are average talent at best and weak minded.

Another slow news morning!

We"ll havt to wait and to find out which Spurs employee NotThatTedHughes NotThatTedHughes has lunch with today.

Or could it be the son of the Celtic chairman. Or Harry Kanes agent. Donna Cullens old man perhaps.....

The bloke does a follow up tweet musing that Kane might be too much money for Madrid to invest at his age. Usually this is a tactic by them to get the player to agitate to move there. But Kane would surely want to break the record in England first.
Would find it quite weird if someone turned down the chance to go to Madrid and win trophies for personal glory?
But again what Ive heard it would be a bit shocked if he left London let alone England
