Already starting to see the brigade of defenders trying to get the "back the manager and get behind him" ball rolling to deflect from Daniel Levy and his incompetence, happens every single time.

Nuno is clearly a desperation appointment, he's been available for ages and doesn't fit the remit that Levy outlined in his end of season message.

And even though people are protesting otherwise because they are just looking for a reason to deflect and change the narrative around our chairman, he plays football that will not please our supporters and will not be winning anybody over, it doesn't take someone with vast footballing knowledge to figure that out.

I am pretty sure any decent Spurs fan will support him if we do hire him because we want the club to do well but let's not start acting like this is some sort of genius appointment or that Levy should be let off the hook for the shambolic way he is running things.

Football is entertainment. I loved the Lane with Harry, Jol and Poch, even when we drew it was mostly exciting. If I am to pay £60 a ticket I want a decent chance of enjoyment, I don't get fans who are happy with shit football, if it’s purely the result why even watch the games, just check the score after.

Levy gave a message of the clubs DNA, every fan of this club knows what that means. If we ain’t winning anything at least entertain us, Nuno doesn’t fit that.

A bit meh. Better than Mason and Gattuso, probably even stevens with Fonseca and well below Poch and Conte. Lack of ambition as clear as day but it could be worse. We could be cuckolded gooners with tiny dicks.

But...but....he's got an exotic name (that's exotic, not erotic www www you fucking pervert!), so he MUST play beautiful, stylish football.

This poll should include a third option

"it hardly matters unless ENIC invest significantly in the squad and remove the deadwood."

IN THAT ORDER.

I'm sick of seeing early season on the pitch performances suffer due to acquiring players at last minute without a proper pre season.

What a pathetic appointment this would be. Let's save everyone some time, pay him to go on gardening leave, and move on to hiring his replacement three months from now.
This is why I'm willing to take Nuno on at this stage. The list of managers willing to take this job is pretty much non existent now. We just need to let the dust settle and stop the embarrassment. If we need to shop for a new manager in a few months, so be it. Chelski seized an opportunity to hire a newly available manager last season and it worked out well, unfortunately. We need to stop this rot before it gets even worse

For whatever this is worth, Wolves led the Premier League in "Number of Players Dribbled Past" this season, and were second to City last season. Fulham were sandwiched between Wolves and City this season, so it's not like this is a sure indicator of a good team, but it's interesting. It matches what you see, they like to take players on and have guys that do that well.

You're right mate, we're shit! We don't have the stature to attract good managers, honestly, we should just be happy we're in the premier league tbh, sick of all these people with their expectations and wanting to see our club do better, spoilt brats the lot of them!

Let's see how it pans out, hope for the best, be patient, be positive, give him time, it's a project, etc etc.

With any luck we will finish in the top 5 and above West Ham and the Scum, what a result that would be for us huh?
That's it, wait and see and obviously hope.

All that tells me is that they give the ball to Adama Traore a lot. He dribbles past people but then doesn't do anything.

Yes, because they were the claims you made.

If it's worth growling at; name names... Have the debate.

Right then..... So you admit you were chatting shit then. 👍

You're clutching at straws now, it was a turn of phrase, my point was the same people who always defend Levy are now starting their regular cycle of deflecting and behaving like there are reasons to be positive about this appointment, even trying to claim he doesn't play defensive football.

I am not going through post after post and naming and shaming people who everybody can quite clearly see never say a bad word about Levy and ENIC, it's as obvious as a slap in the face at this point.

You just want me to waste my time and energy doing something which ultimately will prove utterly fruitless because let's be honest, you aren't suddenly going to change your opinion.

The last time we didn't argue on here was ironically when I was defending Levy for the Mourinho appointment because I was naive enough to believe that Levy had finally changed, that his remit was now one of putting football first, funny how now that I have completely given up on the chairman we are at loggerheads again isn't it?

It's certainly a dire situation that needs to be resolved sharpish, but hiring Nuno is just Levy adding insult to injury. Boring football and Mendes dictating which of his average players get to clog up our squad. He's just a less successful Mourinho with a beard.

You're hyperbolicly conflating miscelaneous opinion in order to substantiate your confirmation bias about some posters.

Not at all....

I've not challenged your opinion on Levy or Nuno here.

If you refer to my original post I simply suggested you direct your energy towards the chairman rather than hyperbolicly vilify other fans for having an alternate opinion on Nuno to you.

(I'm disappointed with the idea of Nuno so don't bother barking up that tree either.)

I am doing no such thing, it's a clear and obvious pattern with specific posters and it has nothing to do with confirmation bias.

To point out that some of the people defending the possible appointment are also the ones who can be seen in other threads defending the chairman and never saying a bad word about him has nothing to do with confirmation bias, this is a patten of behaviour from certain specific posters that is obvious and apparent, to suggest otherwise is dishonest imo.

I have directed my feelings towards the chairman, I am also going to direct my feelings towards people who defend his lies and greedy behaviour and people who try to spin a positive for shambolic appointments just because they don't wish to speak poorly of him, I feel like those fans are as guilty as he is for the decline of our club on the pitch, they are defending the indefensible.

I never said you wasn't disappointed with him but the reality is, your disappointment should be with the chairman for even considering this appointment.
