We did, but I'd rather watch us now and win nothing that have to put up with some of the shite we had to endure back then.

This season has been all about loss of key performers rather than loss of individual form

People have used this theory regarding Dele suffering due to the loss of Wanyama, I just wonder what his recent resurgence is down to then if thats the case.
I simply refuse to blame injuries to Toby as a reason for AMs misfiring, or Wanyama being out meaning that the full backs cant cross etc
Wanyama is a loss, as is Toby, as was Lamela and so on. But they arent the reason Lloris is becoming flappy at the near post.....individual form is just that. Collective individual dips will see us suffer more than injured players who arent even on the pitch.
In your humble opinion, of coursePeople have used this theory regarding Dele suffering due to the loss of Wanyama, I just wonder what his recent resurgence is down to then if thats the case.

I really can't be bothered to reply to that.Yet you are mocking posters because they would have complained in the 90s
I already answered your question but clearly you don't want to acknowledge money since you have a hard on for Jose and Conte and wish to attribute their success purely to being psychological and tactical warfare geniuses.Bizarre responses to an opening post which talked of our record breaking exploits primarily and the inescapable truth that at any other time it would likely have brought silverware.
Honestly some people cannot see past their bias.
And equally canmot see how such wondrous stats that they have been part of, without anything other than plaudits can have a negative impact on their mentality.
So while we drool and correctly so about Kane's remarkable feat, there is still more that needs doing and I for one would forego the triumphalism of individual glory any day to win those games which still sit as most important in getting the greatest glories.
I really can't be bothered to reply to that.

As opposed your opinions being that of someone else? Or have I missed something?

Not at all, I felt sure that anyone who watched our football in that decade would agree it was poor in comparison to what we are capable of now. Given the condemnation meted out to players, effort, tactics and management currently, mostly by the same group of posters, then had they been around back then, had the internet been available and TFC existed etc etc

I prefer to qualify mine as opinions when it comes to matters about football.
You prefer to take a more aggressive line and as a consequence you seem to get into more spats over footballing matters.
My response
My post was full of footballing matters which refuted your views, and you chose not to address them. Thats up to you if you want to play the sensitive card all of a sudden.
Provocative, aggressive and confrontational, as per usual. This is why people get on your case. Learn a bit of humility, it makes conversations easier. I chose not to address your opinions Sammy – because that’s all they are, your opinions. You have never accepted that you are wrong in the past and will argue black is white – so I saw no point in questioning what you believe to be the truth. If you don’t see or subscribe to the points I made, that’s entirely up to you.
I laid out my views that I dont believe that injuries to certain players are the reason other players are underperforming/have underperformed. If people dont want to discuss why thats not the case to them, or explain why Dele has played well without Wanyama, if Wanyama being out is the reason for his performances when poor, then fine.
You are arguing a point that I didn’t make, so I suggest you take that up with whoever it was who said them. If you cant see why the rest of the team plays poorly against a team like city when Sanchez, Wanyama and Alderweireld are absent, then I can only assume that you have never played football regularly in a team that has been shorn of its best players and has to survive on lesser quality alternatives. Come to think of it – I am at a total loss as to why anyone with cognitive thinking can’t work that out.
If you want people to write IMO after sentence, then I cant help you. What we write regarding tactics etc is clearly all opinion and not fact, but maybe you need that spelling out with every post.
No I don’t, but it appears that you need to have your obnoxious and uber aggressive posting style pointed out to you on a regular basis, because I have only noticed you recognising the defect after one of your periodic melt downs. Think about the possible impact of your arrogant and aggressive posting manner (when I do it to you it pisses you off) and then try to phrase things in a way that people might like to discuss matters with you rather than go to war with you.
Your posting style doesn’t suggest that you offer opinions. It suggests that you are making statements that brook no argument or discussion.

Oh look, the charmless one returns.
you love this - "play the victim" attempted insult, don't you? It seems its all you ever come out with.
Yawn
