I'd like to be the man who decides if the ball is in the quadrant for a corner kick or not. Wouldn't want to run the line - just sit there in the corner and decide if the ball is in the quadrant or not.

If the corner is to be taken from the other side, some other fucker can do it.

Last night Fulham took a corner and I’d say the ball was about 5 centimetres from the quadrant. Linesman stood straight there and let the corner be taken. Ridiculous.

I'd have let it go. 5cm is 2 inches. That's nothing.

I think referees should have a tape measure for free kicks and a player should have to hold the other end of it (steadily, over the centre of the ball).

That was one of Woolwich's chances to really put themselves in a good position before the Newcastle game, which like Palace was probably a winnable fixture for them.

Because after that, it's going to be VERY hard for them to get many points looking at their fixtures list.

Lovely stuff.

Their schedule until April is very difficult. I love it. They have had a fairly easy run up until now with all their difficult games split up but now they have a real test.

That's one hell of a fucking run.

I noticed it this past weekend during one of the NFL games. Agree with the frame rate, but there is a vibrancy to the color that is having an effect as well.

For me, the biggest factor is that there is a unbelievable clarity on the focus of the shot or closest person, while the background is very blurry. Most traditional camera angles would have everything, the people closest to camera and the background all in focus at the same time. I would imagine that this is mostly due to nobody in the stands.
Ah yes, that did occur to me too. A blurry 'bokeh' background in the photography world from a shallow depth of focus. Most sports filmed to be very sharp with almost everything in focus (golf is a great example) but the more sophisticated the videogame, the more they add in that background blur in an attempt, ironically, to look more real.

Well at least them cunts didn't win. Didn't watch a single minute of the game, so of course they failed to win. Way forward for me I think.
Me too. At 0-0 with a few mins to go I was tempted to tune in. But you just know it will be Aubameyaaaannng!!!!!
I stayed strong & resisted the urge & got my reward.

I can’t remember a Newcastle team as bad as this !
Neither can I. Thing is, the players aren't that bad. Wilson, ASM, Almiron, the 'keepers are good, the centrebacks, Hayden and Longstaff Junior are decent.

Trouble is the manager. He's a barely sentient compost pile. Last season the defence remembered how to play from under RB, this season all that organisation and confidence is gone from them. Same happened when Martinez took over from Moyes.

Honestly think this is the worst football I've seen in over 30yrs. Allardyce, Ardilles, McClaren, Pardew, Souness, none of them were as bad as Bruce is now. He should thank his lucky stars that there's no fans in the grounds.
