I think the market is clearly showing signs that the price bubble is nearing its end.

a lot of the deals this January, both concrete and unfinished, are loans. With the prices so high clubs aren’t willing to throw a lot of cash without testing the product first. But small clubs will want to capitalize so they will have to reduce prices again soon unless they’re trapped in loan schemes of big clubs

You shouldn't really use January as a guide to the transfer bubble imo, its a strange time with some years having no movement. Other than our "loan" in the summer there were no real loan to buys were there? (not including teams desperate to get players off their wage bill - Sanchez Man U).

What is apparent is the TV deal has pretty much given English clubs "fuck you money" and moving between PL teams will be more difficult. Even if Villa go down I expect Man U to pay £60M + for grealish, thats fucked up.

Apparently La Liga are looking into giving Barca an exemption from the transfer window, allowing them to sign a striker as long as they are either out of contract or already playing in La Liga. Because of their injuries in attack.

Youth much?
They are playing Fati and he scored a brace at the weekend (30 and 31st minute).

Must be nice to be one of the special clubs.

Barca are looking more and more likely to be given exemption to sign a striker from another La Liga club outside of the window.

The newest rumor to pop up...... Martin Braithwaite at Leganes.

Its actually made it almost impossible to transfer good players between english clubs. A decent player costs 50m quid.

How exactly do you sack a player like that? ...It'll never stand up.
If the club is in financial turmoil (which most clubs at that level are due to the pandemic it will). They enabled a rule that said that the players can only stay on if they agree to reduced salaries to ensure the continued operation of the club. If the player refuses their contract can be terminated.

The PL and Champo are looking at doing the same thing.
