Who's won a WC? Also, who's finished in top 3 of Ballon D'or for 2 years? Case closed.
Who's err scored more goals? Ergo, who's the better at doing their job for their team?

It's a team game! A World Cup is what a TEAM wins not a player. The Ballon D'or is an absolute crock of shit created for fanboys. Best summed up to those that know what they are talking about:

SO we are using the whole "score more goals, the better player" logic, that's like saying Vardy is a better player than Hazard because he scored more than Hazard.

Better at doing the job for their team? Are you sure we are talking about the same Kane?? The same Kane, who jeopardised his team's chances by playing in the CL Final 2019 or the same Kane, who destroyed England's chances of progressing to the final of the WC 2018, by refusing to square the ball to Sterling.

No, it's not as Hazard isn't a fucking CF!!! He's a midfielder. So I'm not making any comparisons other than saying Kane is the better CF given that he's scored more goals, done it in a league that isn't dominated by just 2.5 teams too, go figure (Griezmann meanwhile playing for the .5 Team).

Oh my!! "Kane Jeopardised his team by playing in the CL final"!!? WTF!!? Do you think that players pick themselves? Do you think Kane forced Poch to pick him? Pushed him up against his hotel bedrooms wall and threatened to shove his fist up his arse if he doesn't play him.

:dembelelol:

Detest the Ballon d'Or. It's just a way of inflating prices for endorsements and adverts for the players that feature in it. The pure ugly money side of the game.

A decade of interminable Messi v Ronaldo debates as well. Yaaaaaaaaawn.

Fair-weather player....

Carried by an already dominant Juve team and hardly a star man for France in the WC.

Same stench as Ozil (see RM/Germany > Woolwich) except CMs have nowhere to hide.
Ozil only ever looked consistently top class with khedira wiping his arse

Good move for Filip. Maybe a step down when it comes to leagues going from Serie A to the Scottish Prem. But he has moved to a bigger club so a sideways move all in all because he will get to be involved in top of the table fights and playing for/in Europe.

If he establishes himself he will most likely be nailed on to start for the Swedish national team once Granqvist retires. Especially after Pontus Jansson's banter move from Leeds to Brentford.

Especially weird considering these are transfer release fees we're talking about - i.e. it's not exactly like Benfica were going to push the price up if they knew Griezmann had already been sold.
:pochshock:
Atletico are not strictly paying the release clause, its why they are paying more than the fee. They negotiated to pay in installments rather than all at once, Benfica may have indicated that was only an option earlyy.
